After what we seen from Canberra tonight. If they don't get their act together.

Roosters by three hundred and forty two.

If the Raiders play like they did today then the Roosters will win by 30+ but I don't think that will happen. The Raiders will give the Roosters a real contest, you heard it here first ;-)

Look, whenever a team is terrible they seem to get their act together against us.. it's bloody frustrating. This is a real danger game for us in which we need to win before origin.

Absolutely and our form isn't great at the moment either. I just hope the Raiders play true to their away form.

roosters have alot of players backing up from that test match, so that will definately come into play.

But on team sheets roosters would definately win, Mason on the bench??? a luxury alot of teams would want.

Raiders away form ins't great either and roosters would definately want to get into something called good form, so roosters by 12+

If you want to look at it that way, we've got a 100% winning record in Sydney this year :sarcasm:

The match between these two sides produced one of the highlights of last season IMO:

Also, will be interesting to see if Famous Amos backs up his smack talk from the last time these two teams met (note the bit in bold):

It was a dog act

Exclusive by James Phelps

Article from: The Daily Telegraph

IRATE Roosters star Amos Roberts last night accused Raiders bad-boy Neville Costigan of headbutting him while they were shaking hands after the game.

In a bitter aftermath to Monday night football, Roberts called it a "dog act" and demanded the NRL investigate the incident.

"He thinks he is a hardman and walked in between me and another player and headbutted me on the forehead," Roberts said.

"It was a dog act – he just walked up and did it like a dog."

The post-game incident was not broadcast by Fox Sports but footage obtained by The Daily Telegraph yesterday shows Costigan confronting Roberts after fulltime at Canberra Stadium. The Raiders last night refused to comment on the skirmish, while the Roosters said they would leave the matter with the NRL.

The NRL match review committee will today review the footage and has the power to charge Costigan even if the Roosters do not make a complaint.

Roberts said he and Costigan became

involved in slanging match when Canberra captain Alan Tongue slotted a field goal in the dying minutes of the match.

Roberts claims the Raiders hitman asked him where his dinner suit was, in reference to an article published in The Sunday Telegraph at the weekend, which inferred the Roosters were a bunch of party boys.

"I came in to close a play down at the end of the match," Roberts said.

"And being the big loud mouth (Costigan) is, he started going on at me about a dinner suit.

"I told him he played like a seven-year-old, running on the edges. A bit of talk went on but he was the one doing all the trash talking.

"He just kept on going on about the dinner suit and other s..t."

As players shook hands at the conclusion of the match, Roberts claimed Costigan approached him and lashed out with a headbutt.

"We had a few more words," Roberts said. "Then he headbutted me on the forehead. It was a dog act but it didn't hurt, just a fairy tap, but I was far from impressed."

Roberts said he may have retaliated but was blocked by a Raiders player.

"The big man just kept on walking," Roberts said.

"There was a guy in front of me. I wish he hadn't of walked in front. It will be a nice round two when we play them again."

Roberts said Costigan should be charged by the NRL judiciary and yesterday asked Roosters management to pursue the matter.

"I was filthy at it," the 27-year-old winger said. "I asked the officials at our club if they can get some footage of it. He should be charged."

Costigan was last year sacked by the Broncos for a series of mis- demeanors.

Considered by many to be a future representative player, the 22-year is attempting to resurrect his career with the Raiders after being thrown a life-line late last year.

Costigan also slapped Roosters five-eighth Braith Anasta during the match but escaped with a warning.

Soliola had his best game in ages tonight, Sa and Perrett played average and tbh i didnt see Torps or Mason do a hell of alot, so they should be reasonably fresh still.

what is wrong with these canberra idiots not keeping Dobson?

saw Dugan play in the 20's today, he is a future star. raiders should bring him into the side since Zillman's gone. They better sign him for a few years before he gets pinched.

also the #11 for the roosters Sherington or something looked real good.
