That day at Birchgrove looks like it's going to become an annual fixture... good idea by the NSWRL.

Tigers looked sharp tonight but still leaked a few easy points, hopefully our defence is up to it.

I chose the Cowboys before I watched the game tonight and now I'm not so sure. The Tigers were definitely not at their best and they still won against a pretty good Raiders team, if they improve at all I think they will get the job done. The Cowboys haven't had a good record against the Tigers since 05 so that might play a factor as well.

Cowboys will be filthy after losing by 1 point and it's at home, so I think they can get the points.

The Cowboys would be very disappointed if they lose this one, going on the Tigers game last night.

Im always nervous about playing the Tigers (and Souths, seeing as we never beat them) but im quite confident about this one. Benji really didnt impress me at all at halfback and besides Ellis i dont think the Tigers forwards were anything to worry much about. All we need to do is hold onto the ball and not give away dumb penalties and we should win this one.

Had the wood on the cows for a while now so if we can contain there little men, and the heat doesnt play to big a factor i think we can squeeze home in a tight one by 6pts.

LATE MAIL from SMH:
North Queensland have both centres in doubt for their clash with Wests Tigers tomorrow night. Willie Tonga (groin) is unlikely to play, having been unable to train so far this week, however Ashley Graham (also groin) did run yesterday. Coach Neil Henry will either move Ben Harris from the back row into the centres or switch Ty Williams from the wing. John Williams would be the logical back-up for the wing. Manase Manuokafoa is still to come back into the squad after escaping suspension at the judiciary. The Tigers will take Rocky Trimarchi as 18th man. However, they are expected to be "1-17".

I just saw this before and was going to post.
I don't understand the Cows love affair with Ty Williams...

And Tonga injured after one round, geez.

Here we go again, injuries injuries injuries. I really wanted to see us go through a good portion of this year injury free just to see what we could do with a full strength lineup.

I really hope Graham is fit for this one, we need him if Tonga is going to be out for a bloody month.

Glad to see Ty in the centres again, thats where he always wanted to play.

On seeing the fixture list, my first thought was Cowboys at home - simple as that.

But with their injuries and the Tigers form in the first round - that advantage has been eaten away and this really has every chance of being decided in golden point.

But - I'm backing my instincts and taking the Cowboys. They're at home. It's early in the season and the weather is a factor. Add to that a massively improved performance against the Broncos and you have enough ticks against the Cowboys to get my vote - just.

Are the "Tigers" wearing this disgusting jersey every week this year?
