Hate losing that way.

Warriors always looked like running over the top of us. We played good in patches but not consistant enough. We gave away too many penalties, that cost us Although I do not agree with the massive crack down going on, some penalties both ways seemed too much.

Still not worried. Its only early in the season. We had a similar start to 08. Plenty of time to cement a spot in the top 4.

Or the bottom 4...along with Storm.;-)

Seriously; you guys will be fine...just need a few wins to build momentum.

gotta be happy with the warriors... theres certainly a heap of improvement left in them.... and they had a few guys out today... even without Brett Stewart and the Wolfman... winning away from home at brooky is a massive improvement for the warriors. especially when you consider there away record last season.

Congrats to the mighty warriors, never gave up. Manly on the other hand well, with 20 mins to go and Manly infront by a bit i said to my mates we will lose this. Manly looked so tired falling off every tackle it was pathetic. Looks like its a cripple fight next week Manly v Panthers, i will be a brooky once again to support the premiers.

What a great win... the Warriors kept going hard. Hohaia, Luck, Matulino all ruled out through the week, poor Ukuma dropped a load of ball early on, and there was various bouts of penalties going either way to massively surge on momentum. But Stace... what more needs to be said. Absolutely awesome. The two senior blokes in him and Steve Price made some amazing key plays today. The other bloke who is really coming on in leaps and bounds is Russell Packer. Very strong through the ruck.

WHAT A GAME!

Great win for the Warriors.

Lots of penalties today, but the Warriors are proving how lethal they are going to be in attack.

Still improvement left in us as well. Hohaia, Matulino and Luck were all out, and we got the points.

Winning at Brooky isn't easy so we'll happily take the win.

Manly.... What can you say.

1. Robertson: Is just not a full back. Tried his heart out but just looks lost back there, stay on the wing champion; 5.5/10.

2. Michael Bani: He played really well today and is finding his feet again in first grade. His speed and positional play was first class from where I stood; 8/10,

3. Jamie Lyon: What can you say? Overrated? Couldn't be further from the truth, he played out of his skin today. As a center he has more attacking control than Bailey and Orford combined. He has such an eye outwide, and had he not played today I feel Manly would have been belted; 8.5/10.

4. Steve Matai: Went missing, I don't know what happened; 4.5/10

5. Andrew Suniula: Played really well for his second game and even bagged a four pointer as a result of some good speed; 7/10.

6. Chris Bailey: Had as much impact as Igor the Eagle on the sidelines; 4/10.

7. Matthew Orford: Moments where you thought he was going to pull a bunny out of the hat, but instead just pulled air; 5.5/10.

8. Brent Kite: Played really well with a lot of damaging hit ups and solid defensive choices; 7/10.

9. Matthew Ballin: Started the game strong, but faded as it went on; 6/10

10. Josh Perry: Usual solid performance without being great; 6/10.

11. Anthony Watmough: Best forward in the Manly pack today in my opinion. He made a few good breaks and defensive hits, but again gave away stupid penalties; 8/10.

12. Glenn Hall: I honestly didn't notice him out there today; 5/10.

13. Glenn Stewart: I think with his ball skills today he gave Manly another dimension, unfortunately wasn't backed up; 7.5/10.

Bench:

Only standout who contributed was obviously Cuthbertson. He is improving every game, although needs to watch out for the stray pass that creeps into his game now and then. 7/10.

Well that's my summary as a somewhat annoyed and speechless Manly fan. I honestly thought we would always come away with the points today, but it just wasn't to be. Full credit to the Warriors, they played their usual heart-in-mouth brand of footy, and with a controlled half and five eigth, will really give this competition a shake.

Heads up Manly, there's always next week.

Well done Warriors. You will go far in the comp this year. With Manly jumping to a 10 - 0 lead in the first 20 mins, not many teams would have been able to get back into the match as you did. Probably only the Storm and Broncos may have been able to get back into the match.

Altough Manly were penalised a lot, the refs let a lot of things slide - rakes, grapples, holding down etc.

Congrats on the win. It was exciting to watch.

I think he just looked MISERABLE back there. I can't figure out if he or dave williams are more despy to be back on the wing. with bani playing so well they both looked pissed.
