This club is a shambles, the talent is there, too one dimensional in attack and wayyyyy to slow in defence, good luck winning anything in the next 3 years with furner at the helm.

Well done tigers. (yes....that was hard to say)

We weren't even that good in the second half.

How crap were the raiders?
Thought theyd give us something of a fight
Geezuz that halfback - and i use the term loosely - is pretty poor.
Still, we brought em back into it in the 2nd half after it was all over....shoulda been 40 odd nil

Campese has been poor since he was dropped from Origin, but I reckon he'll come good again.

Raiders have some talent, but I don't think they are a top 8 side at the moment. Furner has made some strange decisions though, like Tounge at hooker (not today admittedly). You guys signed Flanagan from us and don't even play him. And he's on very good coin too.

Anyway, we didn't play great, but defensively we were very good. If stubborn prick Sheens played that 1, 6, 7 combo all season we'd have won at least four more games and be in the top 6.

We've got the bottom 2 sides and the Eels who have been running hot lately, but could just as easily lose every game of theirs in the lead up to our encounter. Anything could happen in our season tbh. Probably just miss the 8 on for and against or like 1 victory.

The Tigers season will probably come down to a number of games they lost by narrow margins. The talent is there, but the execution is only just starting to come now, perhaps a little too late.

Canberra, on the other hand... well, we know they never stood a chance due to the refs backing them for the spoon at the start of the year, so no further correpondence needs to be entered into really.

Tigers just too good on the day, although not by much. Tim Moltzen, well he really was the difference today. Forget Benji Marshall, who was his usual take-the-wrong-options-at-all-costs self today, Moltzen is the man the Tigers need for the future. Star in the making.

The Raiders had plenty of effort but not much execution. Gee it really looked like the flu knocked them around this week. Put in but there just wasn't enough in the tank after a really disrupted week.

Now, onto the blind merkin in the video box, aka Phil Cooley. What the f**k was that decision against Dugan? If Josh Dugan is wearing the jumper of any of the other 15 teams in the comp, we see the green lights today. I have absolutely no doubt about it. If Penrith get awarded a try last week, this is a try today. If Melbourne get awarded a try last week, this is a try today. Either they were both incorrectly awarded, or today's decision was incorrect. Either way, we ALWAYS get the rough end of the stick from the video ref. It was a disgraceful, disgraceful decision that totally changed the momentum. It's a different game from then if the Raiders get back to 6-6, particularly when you consider the first Tigers try came off the back of a blatant knock on at the scrum base and shouldn't have been given.

Now I'm most definately not saying that we would have won or anything like that with a different decision - we just weren't good enough - but I am sick and tired of the sheer incompetence displayed week in week out by the officials who are apparent masters of the rulebook. When a bloke sits up high, watches a video screen over and over and STILL comes up with the wrong decision, it's an absolute disgrace. Robert Finch must resign immediately for the good of the game.

Not a bad post from you Skeepe, though I felt the Raiders no try was a right decision maybe it was unfair compared to others given recently.

Every right to feel angry for the Tigers try that came off the back of the scrum knock on.

At one point Beau Ryan was ruled to have knocked on, he didn't! Luckilly didn't cost the Tigers cos those things usually do.

It's the same as me saying "if that Manly try on the stroke of halftime wasn't given on Friday night, it would have been a different game." Who knows, it might have been, but at the end of the day, no refereeing decisions were as bad as how both the Knights and Raiders played on the weekend ;-)

I actually agree with you with most of what you said.

Except he couldn't help himself. There had to be a dig at the officials in there somewhere ;-)
