As an aside, here's a hard luck punting story. Had a $3 multi this weekend - 8 legs all up, possible $191 collect (so more than 60-1!). Last leg needed? Broncos 13+ of course. Shouted myself hoarse telling the bastards to take the 2 in the dying seconds after that penalty, but to no avail. Dammit.

Blame Campese. Brisbane were almost certain to go in before that penalty, but Campese flopped down on the ruck again and slowed the play the ball down. The penalty allowed the Raiders defence to reset and Brisbane had attack the wing again.

I had to laugh at Tongue's attempt to explain Canberra wasting time in getting to their line-dropout.

Ref: "You have 40 seconds to get to your kick, otherwise I have to penalise you"

Tongue: "We couldn't find the ball"

Ref: "One of your players had it"

Tongue: "Yeah okay"

Funny stuff.
