Thats the last time I go with my gut feeling for tips! Wooden spoon battle is now between the Tigers and Sharks.

Gees we had some chances, anyone got figures on possession for the first/second half?

Some calls didn't go our way either. Terrible reffing.

We got f**ked by the ref. We were poor, and no means am I blaming the ref, but we had so many things go against us. Barrett getting done for raising the elbow, norrie's head on the tackled player (see that 50 times a game), The covell no try, Luke O'Donells love tap, not seeing their foot out off the kick off. The list goes on and on.

Bloody shocking indeed, the worst thing was every mistake by the refs seemed to hurt us on the scoreboard and when you are a team with the attacking abilities of the Sharks they cant afford mistakes against them especially in the case of the Covell try which was a potential 12 point turnaround

The refs didn't screw you out of 24 points !
Technically they did, the the whole point was everytime the Sharks got robbed, the Cowboys scored thats make it a 12 point turnaround

Plus the margin blew out when the Sharks knew they had lost it, if the Covell try is allowed as it should have been its 2 points the difference, instead the Cowboys score next and it blows out to 14 and the game is over, although had the touchie been as well sighted as the one on the other side then the Sharks might have scored first in the 2nd half and been a totally different game

Add to that the ref had us back more than 10 while the Cowboys were back just 10, Saw that in the second half where the ball was played 40m out and the defence was back at acouple meters behind the 30m mark.

Technically you cant read a game of football if whenever your team loses, instead of accepting the fact that the Sharks played like crap, you instead blame the referee.

Seriously, the 2 no trys to the sharks were correct IMO.

The first one, regardless that the ball was behind the lad when he lost control of it, the ball still gets propelled forward in the air off his shoulder before it hits the ground. You deadset have to be be so f$%king one eyed to even think of giving that a try, and same with the 2nd one. I know a player cannot "disappear" but Maitua still over ran Covell (i think it was covell) and prevented the cowboys players any chance of a a decent shot at tackling him. I put it to you this way, reverse the situation, but give the trys a green light to the cowboys and you sharks fans would be blowing up deluxe.

The Luke Odonell over the sideline drama, I understand the frustration, that was the wrong call, but at full speed, god damn I would hate to have to rule on those, that is split second decisions there. The luxury of slo mo is not afforded to the touchies (obviously). I understand the frustration of sharks fans, not good times, hell I have been there as well (try 10 years of $hit house results year after year) and you tend to make your own luck, when in a rut it seems like nothing can go right for you.

You guys had ample opportunity to score during that game, we had 2 fit players on the bench at one stage FFS. Hell I think your completion rate at the end of the game was only 60%. And throw in a Hegarty to help your cause, you guys had other reasons than just the ref to blame for that loss.

You raise some valid points, just another three but.
Barrets raised forearm when we were on the attack was another terrible call.
The Luke Covell no try, well yes Maitua couldn't disappear yet when the Cowboys were attacking Bowen got crunched by a Shark when he couldn't get to tackle Thurston, no consistency what so ever.
Luke Odonell played with blood over his face all game, How on earth did he get away with that?
