Dragons looked good again in defence and their counter attacking was top notch. Still need to work on their attack closer to the line. Roosters just didn't look like scoring but their goal line defence was good.

i would like to see Soward start taking a select few runs out of dummy half if we have teams on the back foot. otherwise that was a staunch performance from the dragons. That defense is unbelievable. a lot of people saying our attack is poor which i agree with but when you can hold teams to 0 that doesnt matter too much

is mason even trying?

did you watch his effort on the dragons first try? he couldn't get out of sowards way fast enough and then didn't even try to chase.

Fittler needs to go, this game was the perfect chance to blood a new halfback, with pearce the roosters were never going to be a threat

Fittler is not a coach yet, Gus needs to give him a hand if he's not too proud to accept it. Pearce went the wrong way on a couple occasions but played pretty well IMO, our main problem was that we had nothing around dummy half. No creativity what's so ever. I'm pretty pleased with our defense when you consider the teams were separated by two opportunistic tries for much of the game.
Aren't you glad that Ricky Stuart so no merit in Soward?
Well done, BTW

I'm sick of people defending Freddy...

James Aubusson really needs to be dropped, his service from dummy half is unacceptable, ffs i reckon i could do a better job in attack

Pearce was lucky to be playing btw, had a infection and was on the drip.. so he did okay

Can't say I'm un happy with that result. :) Our attack is still pretty woeful, our line is too bloody flat in my opinion, which has got me beat because I don't recall the Broncos ever doing the Chris Anderson-Brett Kimmorley flat attack thing while Bennett was there. But our defence and counter-attack from broken play are both awesome. Can never complain about keeping a team to blot. Can't remember the last time we did that.

agree our attack looked pretty crap. if it wasnt for those last 2 tries it woulda been a yucky win.

i think 1000 of your 1700 posts have been that exact line.

Anyway roosters were woeful today. Dragons defence was once again outstanding, their attack was mediocre but they certainly made the most of broken play oppertunites.

Im surprised there wasnt a penalty mid second half when a dragons guy got up from a tackle and hit at i think o'meley?

Nothing in it....it was just an elbow to the face :sarcasm:. Seriously, f**king pathetic refereeing, as usual.

Hahahaha here we go.

O'Meley was crowding the play the ball and could have penalised for dropping his knees into the tackle, then Poore lashed out.Not much in it,I think play on was a good call.
