How the hell did Hindmarsh not get sent off for his vicious kick to a defenseless Darren Lockyer's face?

10 weeks minimum, IMO.

he'll get MAX 2 weeks..once he did it he apologised to locky and the ref..i jst replayed it and it shows hindmarsh apologizing after doing it..i didnt pick it up whilst watchin it the first time

I'd love to be obsessed with you.

But Hindmarsh's knee was bad and late. Regardless of if he apologised or he's a good bloke. It was so unnecessary AND so dangerous. 8 weeks for mine.

I'm pretty sure it was actually his boot that made contact with Lockyer's face.

Purely accidental as he slipped. Perhaps a little careless.

Hindmarsh should definitely be suspended. Clearly would his foot out thinking Lockyer was going for the try.

But of course he'll continue to be treated like protected species as always.

since when is Hindmarsh a protected species? He is in the top handful of backrowers this year and couldn't snare a NSW squad spot. Protected my arse.

What's that got to with it ?

Every single year he has at least one incident where the commentators say " It's not his go... "

Despite the scoreline I found this match to be an incredibly entertaining free flowing game of Rugby League.

With Lockyer leading, the Broncos attack looked sharper tonight enabling for their star studded backline to finally shine. Aside from that I couldn't really tell the difference between this performance and last - it just goes to show what kind of an impact one or two players can have on a side.

It must be frustrating to be an Eels supporter. They weren't as bad as the scoreline suggested and they certainly created a number of oppurtunities which only required a play to dive over the tryline yet time and time again players like Hayne (BP Note: Which is surprising considering he's a master of the art form *boom doom tish*) would simply squander.

I thought the Keating brothers demonstrated their potential tonight. Kris has a lot of natural ability and some sharp footballing instinct. He just needs to work on his decision making ability as there were a few instances where he let the Broncos off the hook. Matt was playing smart football in the middle of the ruck and had the Broncos reeling on a number of occasions. When you combine those two, Feleti and Fui Fui, the Eels have a solid foundation. They just need to find the right support cast and some of their other superstars have to play to their ability. Only then will they become competitors in the NRL.

Debutant Note: Was anybody else impressed with Etu Uaisele? Aside from one defensive lapse I thought he was sharp all night, set up a break for Hayne and even scored a nice try. Wapau was solid in debut, made some nice runs BUT I thought playing Palmer as a prop forward was a little silly. Despite his size he's actually much more effective out on the fringe where his strength, deceptive speed and playmaking ability is at their peak.

And yes, that article includes the prerequisite "It's not his go" quote.

Looking at the replay
Why was that given a try ,surely it was a double movement by lockyer he promoted the ball after it hit the ground.his momentum was stopped

the penalty should have gone to the eels
Hindmarsh should get 2 weeks
