Panthers looked much better with Walsh at 7. Their goal line defence was top notch as well, Titans didn't look like scoring on the Panthers line.

Luke Walsh was amazing. We looked so much more dangerous with him at halfback. I also loved not having Brad Tighe out there bombing tries. Gavin Cooper helps our forwards out ontop of filling the hole in the centres.

Panthers defence was incredible tonight. Altough the 20 points against us don't reflect that. We seemed to rush up on the Titans at the right times to stop Prince from killing us. The two best bits of defence for mine were Jennings rushing up on Prince and driving him back 10 metres, and Coote stopping Friend 1-on-1 and forcing an error.

Did anyone else think the referees tried to swing momentum between the halves? In the first half a lot of dodgy decisions and 50/50 calls went to the Panthers... which i absolutely loved ofcourse. But in the second half they seemed to try and even things up for the Titans. A 7-3 penalty count turned into an 8-8 penalty count fairly quickly.

Absolutely, the square-up was well and truly in action.

Was funny too when Maxwell warned Prince to clean up his team's act on the penalties just before 1/2 time. "Clean it up or you know what we'll do" - what is that actually, given the sin bin is almost non-existent? Giving them a warning that they'll give them more warnings? Obviously in the refs' view the Titans did clean up their act in the 2nd half.

Speaking of the sin-bin, I thought one of the Penrith players was lucky not to get it in the try where Campbell kicked ahead and was tackled without the ball just short of the line. Penalty try if the Titans didn't score anyway. In that case, I'd reckon that the sin bin would be warranted for the offending Penrith player.

Especially when 4 of the 7 penalties the Titans had possesion. 3 defensive penalties for 40min isn't very bad at all.

Meh,apparently the panfers get picked on by the refs when it comes to dodgy penalties...just shows a bad call gets evened up,no complaints here.
