I remember almost everyone since the late 90’s but had no idea who Kevin Henderson was.

I think an interesting article would be, “players who played 50+ games for Newcastle, but when released, were never good enough to play NRL level at any other club.”

If you discount anyone who retired due to age or injury I can't really think of many in the last 10 years.

Cuthbo went to ESL, but he was good enough to play in the NRL when he left.
Vuna didn't play NRL again but he played for the Wallabies.
Houston went to ESL
Costigan went to ESL

That's about it?

Cuthbo was a pretty dynamic forward, really enjoyed the second phase play he was able to generate. Vuna was just a wrecking ball, I remember one season where McManus must have been injured and we had Vuna and Uate on the wings for most of the year and the two of them combined scored like 36 tries or something. He was definitely one of the more entertaining players I’ve seen pull on a Knights jersey over the last 15 years or so.
