Gee, people being a bit harsh on Idris. If the ball bounces another way into Turners hands we'd be saying he's a genius.

jeez kimmorely's pass on the second last try was highly suspect. not complaining though.

Very happy to get a win in the first round. I admit I didn't have a lot of faith - I never thought we'd be up 16 - 0 at half time and was expecting a 6 - 18 point loss.

Woot!

Ha right on the dot, good work p!

For the Dogs...

I thought Idris, Nanai and their second rowers just stunk. Roberts too was pretty quiet and seemed to be glued to that left hand side which was pretty sad given how little the Dogs went down that side (pretty stupid on their part too...but I suppose that's what happens when you play Nanai there).

Knights, well, they should be bloody happy with the result. No Gidley, no De Gois and a number of off-field indiscretions and they come up with that result. For them, I thought their backrow was just awesome all-round, Cross was strong and Hilder proved how underated he is in the competition by putting in a very handy effort at dummy half.

McDonnell, Vuna and Mullen all had their moments. Although, in the case of the latter two there's definately some room for improvement.

All in all, enjoy the two points Knights, who said 2010 was a lost cause?

could not agree more, our whole forward pack aside from stagg, who i don't think could have a bad game, were hopeless. Only Hannant really made a solid impact throughout the game, and even that wasn't enough. I really wish we went down that left hand side more, we became way too predictable going down the right. On the positive side, i thought Barba made a really good impact for the 20 minutes he played and added some much needed potency into our attack. 80% of that game was just dead set awful to watch for Dogs supporters, and unfortunately playing with heart and potency for 20% of the game isn't enough....again, Well Done Knights

Cheers Ennis cost me 3/3 now I'm 2/3 :x
Well done Knights, I had a feeling you guys might do this as last year you guys were under similar adversity and you guys stood up against all odds and took down some big guns.

Well we cant get too "gus gould" about it all though . The knights did come out fired up and pulled off the ambush that a few predicted - but i don't expect they will be doing that week in week out .In the end they played against an awful dogs side out there especially in the first half , and the difference still only came down to the 0/4 from Ennis.

we're likely to be flat next week, for sure... but i'm not sure how many big games we have to win before people start rating some of the excellent players in our team. we did what we did tonight without the likes of macdougall, gidley and de gois. there is much more to come.

happy to continue to fly under the radar this year, though... especially if it means a few teams come out with the bulldogs attitude in the first half this week against us.

houston? wicks? already distant memories.

Geez Skeepe. You are one bitter kid. If I had not have seen the game and read this I would think that Idris was the worst in the world. However, as I did watch the game I have context to place along side all of your ridiculous slander.

Now.. I am off to the Panthers v Raiders thread to see what is going on there at half time. oh looky looky 22 - 0. You probably think that score line is Idris's fault as well.

Hoooooooooooow f**king good was that!!!!! :D

Once Sau and Vuna went down I was packing it, easy to tell the Bulldogs were gonna target the hell out of that side of the field.

I think people are a bit harsh on Idris, to be fair to him I think the Dogs attack was always heading towards that way of the field, they gave him too much ball and expected too much from him, Id love to know how many touches Josh Morris got, seems like they never went his way.

Their last or 2nd last try I think was a forward pass by Barba IMO.

The ref was a merkin, penalty count would surely be something like 10-3 to the Dogs.

For us I thought just about everyone was good. Dogs didn't have any urgency about their game until the last 20 minutes.
