Well deserved win by Parra. We just played dumb footy most of the game. Refs frustrated me with calls but they made some which would piss off parra fans to, they are useless both ways. Did not think we would miss Foran that much!!!!
Eels look the goods now, almost back to where they were at the end of last season. Manly a very inconsistent side lately, beat the top teams then struggle to win at home.
Manly not up for it. That game showed how much Foran adds. Hodkinson should have taken control of that game with him out but he stood back and played his usual.
Not devastated with the loss, it's been a big couple of weeks, getting a bye at the right time.
humble had a great debut for us id say he will be fullback against sharkies with hayne out for origin and grothe to be back so really should be ok, but this game will take alot out of us lucky man;y have the week off after the dragons and eels games.
How frustrating was it to watch them play so conservatively the whole second half? Seriously, they looked like they were 8 - 12 ahead and all they had to do was go through the motions and they would win. When Parra scored and then the field goal was kicked Manly finally woke up a bit, did they think that field goal meant they were losing by 1 or something?
So many kicks for possession and relatively strong defence. If you couldn't see the score you would have thought Manly were ahead and trying to defend a lead and Parra were the ones who were chasing it.
parras defence was outstanding, hayne had a great all round game, especially his massive kick, and the manly boys lacked the imagination and commitment to turn the game around. well done parra.
Lets hope that defence becomes prominent for the eels for the remainder of the season. Hayne's kicking game is gonna be sorely missed while he's out for origin. Not to worried going up against the sharks though  This is definitely a different eels side from the first half of the the season.
