Cant see it getting better for manly either. Few injuries... and with state of origin coming up that might make 1-2 players unavaliable.. gee wiz they are in trouble agaisnt the titans

Another great win. Should be good next week against souths. Although without origin stars.

Manly just didn't look interested, Brisbane sloppy but handled the conditions better.
Just to good today brisbane, good on them!

Exactly right - changed the whole game
Err... no. As Garts said, Manly were lucky to not be trailing by a few tries at half time. At no stage after the 15th min did the Eagles look in control of the game.

Anyway, that was a very satisfying, and rare, win at Brookvale. Lockyer and Thaiday are in such great form while the rest of the team are just lifting to match them.

Our forwards just out played Manly, even though their attack was non existant. We're actually starting to look very strong lately, throw Hodges back in the side and we're looking like a top 4 side.

So.... Brisbane kick a ball that looked to big, it hits the ref and instead of manly having a probable 20mtr tap, brisbane get a scum and score fro the next set.
I am pretty sure that is a momentus change?
Do I think manly deserved to win - NO, did that cost the eagles the game - NO.
Did it change the flow of the game - ABSOLUTELY.

But good on brisbane for a great and rear win at Brookie.

I know you're not suggesting that Manly deserved to win. I just strongly disagree that it changed the flow of the game. The Broncos were very much so on top by that point, and while the ruling certainly helped maintain their momentum, I think if the ball misses the ref then the game continues on in a pretty similar fashion.

We're probably just arguing semantics here, seeing as we both agree the better side won.

Congratz to Brisbane, deserved the win. Never thought Manly could win with that backline, score could have been bigger if Folau wasn't so greedy from 1m out

Even though he was doing it too my side, it was still amazing to watch Lockyer out there controlling things today, it was near perfect. I never want Beaver's record for most games to be beaten, but if somebody has to take it, then it should be a class act like this bloke. Having grown up with a strong dislike of the Bronco's I never thought I would be saying a thing like that !!

Yeah happy to agree, but the rule s rediculous.
Brisbane were definately too good today
Manly were a rabble, I think a good toyota cup side would have beaten them today

What did you expect that many young players in the side and the weather? I thought we did well to be in the game with 15 to go.

Must say that rule when Brisbane kicked into the ref on the last tackle yet they got another set is pretty unfair. I can understand if it was the 3rd or 4th but not the 5th!!! Stupid rule.

Exactly it's not like we're not missing a few players and with the weather like that it comes down to who holds the ball better. Brisbane played very well in the conditions. How did Hoppa go? I didn't even realise he was playing.

He was ok considering the conditions. Did not get any opportunities really but got in and made some runs coming out of our own end.

I was at the game today.... Manly had chances at 6-4 and even 6-10 to get back into game, but simply weren't good enough.

The Broncos... What else can you say, they were very good. They stood deep and ran onto the ball, changing angles, isolating defenders and made plenty of line breaks. The great Darren Lockyer gave a masterclass in wet weather football today and hopefully for our young halves combo, they can watch the video and learn from it.

About the only positive to come out of today was the debut of Will Hopoate. With a couple more injuries today, we're going to need him.

Well done Broncos and congrats, just too good.

I'm still scratching my head as to how we got flogged by Manly. Actually, I guess I can answer my own question: it's the only game all season they've bothered to run back out for the second half.

Penrith are 2nd now but still not good to see the Broncos keep winning though, they've really turned the corner. I was hoping this would be an off season but doesn't look like it. You can bet they'll be in the 8 again and go close to winning it.

And it just eats you up inside doesnt it.
