you are a knob, Maxwell had a green jersey on all night, you won so stop whining about poor refs when they were on you're side all night,

 Are the refs ever not involved in a giant conspiracy against the Raiders?

Wait a minute, so a 7-2 penalty against us means that they were favouring us all night?

Funny stuff.

For the record, while I did have a gripe with one or two penalties, most were deserved. It was the ones that should have been given against the Broncos but didn't that really irked.

Unless he had go-go gadget arms he wasnt going to stop Gillett anyway...

Irrelevant. Gillett dropped it.

Actually this is one I'd like to discuss further.

I realise that the issue of separation comes into play when you're talking about grounding in a video ref decision, but surely that only applies when the ball is in contact with the same part of the body the whole time? You COULD argue that there was no separation between some part of Gillett and the ball the entire time, but in my opinion the fact that it was a different part of his body that grounded the ball to when he carried the ball over the line I'm pretty sure negates that.

It's pretty damn obvious that he's lost control of the ball and should be no try.

and here I was under the impression they simply flipped a coin over grounding issues this year

SKEEPE you are a knob, there was no seperation in the Gillett try so it ws a fair try. Get over it you won you should be celebrating instead of complaining about refs.

How would you know if we were offside all night?

i was watching it on the tele  how else would i know, you could clearly see them in front of the ref
hell even Wally, a queenslander through and through said they were unlucky not to have been pinched

the gillet try was another nail in the already lowered coffin of R.Finch.
but all's well that ends ok, Broncos OUT, Raiders IN! :D

It was a fair try under the current interpretation of the grounding rule.

The current interpretation of the grounding rule is a farce.

It's a stupid rule but if Jamie Lyon can score a try off his c**k then Gillett's effort is fair enough.

On a side note, no surprises to see some Raiders fans still finding things to whinge about despite the fantastic effort by their team to qualify for the playoffs. Vintage.

Good luck to them in the coming week/s.

unfortunately you are right
There isnt a RL fan alive who would want that try awarded, there isnt a RL fan alive who doesnt think the grounding rule is a farce
hopefully with Finch gone we will see some common sense applied

Nothing like a game where you're severely tested but still manage to come out on top in the end as preparation for finals footy. Canberra and the Titans had that experience tonight, we had it last week, and the Tigers had it the week before against Parra (with a little help from Luke Burt).

Broncos were already out.

Interesting, I didn't know the WIN feed had the 10m constantly on screen. Or are you just talking s**t?

Wally is about as passionate about the Broncos as Jason Maher is.

Gillett try is fine by today's standards. Rules need to be changed though.

Congrats on the victory.

We were lucky to hold on in the end. Sterlo was right when he said we looked nervous. We got 2 lucky tries in the first half but didnt throw much else at the broncos in attack.

Now I have a bad feeling we are going to bring back the bombaghan tactic in the finals. I will be so pissed off if Furner thinks thats what we need to do to score.
