What was that? 2 tries from Ennis tonight? NSW won the origin game Ennis played in last year? From what i recall Ennis didn't throw a ball to Darren Lockyer for a try and miss a straight forward tackle on Israel, that was Farah:lol: ALSO i recall the Bulldogs making the top 8 last year with Ennis as hooker... Farah is a good Tiger's player but nothing more or less. Ennis is built for Origin, Farah still thinks you can be creative in Origin the reality is, it's a different game then NRL... Hookers cannot be fancy, they just need to deliver good ball and be strong in Defence! Look at Smith for QLD, no thrills!

You never watch Ennis do you? He is one of the worst hookers in terms of defense.

Get your facts straight. And guess who is the backup for Cameron Smith for Australia? Australian selectors have it right!

Big surprise a Tim Sheen''s coached Australian side has Farah ahead of Ennis:lol:...

Some average plays and some terrible calls from dumber and dumber took any chance the tigers had of winning away. Matches go with possession and if one team is forced to tackle 20% more in the first half odds are they will cop a smashing.

The dogs were willing but really a side in form would have put 50 on the Tigers tonight. Maxwell and his mate were hopeless but in saying that the dogs still deserved their win.

Farah must be pretty happy with every Tiger's fan hanging off his c**k.

The quality of ref decisions in the first half was terrible.

This isn't much of an indication who the better hooker is imo.

The Tigers defence was great though.

Really pretty proud of the Tigers effort tonight.

IT is a massive ask to come into this match on a 6 day turnaround from a stinker in Townsville at the best of times. Add to that our best prop is still out and our tested halfback is out and that makes it harder again.

The reffing in the first half was a joke and it added more to the Tigers woes.

The guys were dead set out on their feet after the start of the second half. Also add into this that a bench prop is a late withdrawal and is replaced with a back rower. Not one genuine prop on the bench.

I thought this was our danger game and was proven right.

Anyway congratulations to the Dogs on the win. The last two trys really hurt though as the final scoreline in no way indicates the defensive effort by the Tigers tonight but such is life.

Oh and as a side note I really do not give a toss about the NSW hooker position. My club is where I focus my support and while rep honours are nice for players I would rather no Tiger pulls on a rep jumper of games I have not watched for a long time

You Tiger fans are good value, Ennis did outplay Farah tonight and if he gets into origin just accept it, its not that big of a deal, seriously lol

On the game, we just wore the Tigers down and they didnt really look threatening at all, we stuck at it for 80mins which im happy about it and the boys dug in when no one gave us a chance, good win but we need to back it up next week.

Sums it up nicely for mine.

Our defence in the first half was simply phenomenal. That, combined with the last two tough away trips took its toll in the second half.

Our attack was disjointed tonight, but our defence is always going to be our main concern. If we defend like we did tonight regularly we'll be fine.

We scored 1 try a apiece aside from Flukey kicks and we had a try taken from us when Turner tackled Marshall without the ball.

Also  at this argument between Ennis and Farah. Farah is the better hooker absolutely no doubt. Farah played hooker and half, and wasn't even outperformed by Ennis apart from a couple of tries in the end, where in one of the Ennis got outrun by a 35 year old ffs. For NSW, I'd take Priddis, he provides everything Ennis does, more and is a great defender. Similar to Farah, but I want Farah playing for my club.

Ahh it's good to see at least one of the Doggies fans of old out and about on the forum again.

After cowering in the shadows for the last weeks of football they can finally come on out and start trumpeting their great team.

A good win. Enjoy it. Kudos

Ennis looks good behind a dominant side because he just simply does the basics. He is not a standout in any facet of the game - running, creating, defending, nada. He is an accomplished, well-rounded footballer that makes few mistakes because he isn't relied upon by his team to be the driving force and chief play-maker.

Farah on the other hand is an incredibly gifted and skilled player that has the ability to create points from any position on the field - look at the 20m cut-out pass from inside his own 10m against Canberra that lead to a 90m try for a recent example. He makes more mistakes because he chances his arm - but that's reflective of the Tigers as a whole. The same thing that makes him, and the Tigers, unique and on days untouchable is the same thing that on other days makes him look ordinary and sees the Tigers get lapped.

From last night's performance, I don't believe anyone would say either hooker had a dominant game or out-played the other. Ennis passed from dummy-half, chased a couple of kicks and pretty much stayed out of the way - in other words a typical Ennis performance. Farah created openings for teammates, kicked a 40/20 and made a few mistakes - in other words a typical Farah performance.

As for the better player - in my opinion, Farah by some way. Just offers more with ball in hand, isn't a magnet for penalties and strong in defence. Ennis is good no doubt and possibly the safer Origin bet - he won't stand out or win you a game but he also will come in and do the job.

Personally, based solely on last night's game from both, I'm looking for a hell of a lot more from my Origin hooker.

 @ the Farah wankfest...

In all seriousness I don't think last night was a true indicator of who's the better SOO hooker, both played good solid games.

Good to get a win on the board, a sigh of relief to see the boys lift their intensity.

I doubt Priddis would want to play tbh, he's surely in his last season...
