Thanks Skeepe - another foolish comment on the internet, another win for the Knights. Kiss of death indeed!

Disappointment galore in a pretty shocking game of footy all around.

Methinks it's time to head out and drown my sorrows :D some painful viewing tonight.

Did the Willie is a wanker chant come through on TV at all? It's amazing the boos that guy gets every time he plays, regardless of venue

Happy to get the win, even if we lost the second-half once again.

I'm happy to get the 2 points but again we were good for 20 and mediocre for 60

I take little confidence from this game

I don't know what to make of this game. The Knights should have won far more convincingly, and the stats for the second half weren't kind to them. But it's kind of hard to build any momentum or get into position to score when the refs are giving the Cowboys penalties on top of penalties for "ïnfringements" that went un-noticed in the 1st half. It's true Newcastle's defence was like marshmallow for two of the NQ tries, but the Cowboys largely got into the position to score from the countless piggy-backs they were getting from the refs. I think the Knights only got up within 10 metres of their line once the whole second half, and that led to a try!

The thing is, this seems to happen almost every weekend for the Knights- in the second half of a match every 50/50 call goes the way of the other team and they capitalise on the massive leg up they get. I am starting to understand where Raiders fans are coming from saying they get a rough deal from the men in pink!

Penalties were 6 all sunshine and quite a few ordinary calls against the Cowboys in that as well, especially the so called shepherd. Try again, fact is Knights played a very undermanned team who struggled to cope in the first half, but won the second half.

Knights can't play 80 minutes of football, and lucky for them they did play an out of sorts outfit because any other team would have towelled them by 30.

Sets up an interesting Friday Night clash with the Eels. What's the record for knock-ons and missed tackles in a game?
I imagine there's almost an iron-clad guarantee Canterbury v Brisbane will go live into both states after the rubbish NQ and Parra have served up...

That shepard call was soft, but my point is that when you are given as many dubious penalties close to your tryline as what the Cowboys received in the second half, sooner or later you are going to score.
