We've really taken our foot off in the second half. Not happy, and I would presume Bennett wouldn't be either.

sensational match.

the only flaws in it so far are the Prior try, and the SGI strip - they should be in an all-red strip. too much white on both sides.

No. Lockyer can tackle. Soward can't. How did that tackle on Barba go? Oh that's right. It wasn't a tackle. He dropped off again.

You've just cut your foot off with your own sword you dickhead. If one good tackle doesn't make him a good defender, then one poor tackle doesn't make him a bad one. But hey, if you repeat the same myth often enough...

I wonder if the fact Idris was allowed to be offside and knock on and still get the Dogs a try means people will stop whinging about the Dragons getting a leg-up, given that it's now one bullshit try apiece.

My guess is no.

What a pant shitting move by Soward.... kicking a field goal to get to 6 up from 40+ out??

Flashbacks to the Newtown Parra reserve grade grand final there

Most contentious of the year? Are you serious?

It's nowhere near being in the league of Thurston being allowed to knock on with impunity against the Raiders, or Jennings clearly knocking on against the Raiders, or Manly having a knock on ruled against them... there have been plenty of much more contentious decisions this year. Tonight's isn't even remotely in the ballpark.

Of course, Canberra would be the team on the receiving end of the most dubious calls.

Unlike the situation where the on-field refs overlooks a knock-on, this time the video ref had the opportunity to review the footage yet still came up with a decision at odds with what everybody in Australia sans Skeepe and a handful of one-eyed Dragons fans expected.
