I don't think the Cows will have any worries about travelling down here. If it's a sunny afternoon (will still be cold of course) JT and co have the ability to rack up plenty of points if the bad Raiders turn up.

Really surprised that Canberra are such strong favourites for this one. It's 15th v 4th for goodness sake.

If it were a night game it would be less surprising though.

The ladder means absolutely nothing at this point in the year, only a fool would look at it.

The Panthers were first this time last year I'm pretty sure, and they were (and still are) a simply horrible football team who just had a lucky run.

The Raiders have done the opposite, we're a decent team that's just coming off a ridiculously bad run. It's over now, and we'll be too good, doesn't matter how good or bad the Cows play - the Raiders will win.

What is amazing to me is that we can finish as high as 10th if certain things go our way this weekend, ie we win well against the Cowboys and Melbourne pump Souths and a few other sides lose. It is only really the better for and against Panthers playing the pretty terrible Titans that make it unlikely. However Penrith are well placed to end this round in 10th position.

Still if Eels, Roosters, Souths (has to be a thrashing) and Cronulla lose along with a Raiders win and perhaps a gold coast upset we would be moving places. The only problem with that would be the top 8 would move out to 14 points which would be a two game lead.

Still baby steps. Getting away from the spoon position is the first goal.

Yeah I just think its our bipolarness if we lose then we will go into next week expecting to be beaten by 100. Just enjoy us being optimistic because it wont last.

To be honest my comments in this thread have been all about baiting one particular Cowboys fan. He did post, but didn't bite the way I was hoping I guess.

The Cows will be loving what they see when they peek out of the hotel window this morning......2.4 degrees, overcast and a thick fog.

Still got that fan on beave?

What a sad reflection on the Canberra club when the weather is seen as a more difficult proposition than their team.

It is a part of the home ground advantage. Like the constant sounds of duelling banjos up at dairy farmers putting fullbacks off bombs.

really???? Is that the best you can do???

The sound of banjos certainly don't beat the howls of dogs coming from the suburbs of Canberra during mad monday...............
