We at worst laugh at Haynes f**k ups. Dugan got injured. Huge difference. Your carry on with the selection stuff in this thread is just admitting Dugan is much better. :cool:

I just think he's too injury prone.

Maybe Dick Stuart needs to send him a text message telling him he needs to get out on the field?

I believe the argument is that players do it "on purpose" to hedge their bets with the pass. So the refs work under the assumption that Thurston on "purpose" puts his hand out to either A)make the tackle or B) stop the pass.

Charge downs count as playing at the ball and the tackle count is restarted. They are just not considered knock ons.

I can think of times where a kick has been charged down and the count not reset.

I guess I'm wrong though.

It's an awful rule, the worst rule in the game, I can only assume it's been done because it was too difficult for the refs to decide if it was intentionally played at or not.
