Disappointed with the result, but happy with the effort given the players we had out. In the end, the better team won, and Lockyer showed his class.

Starting with the refs, I thought that all the video ref decisions were okay, with Nightingale a bit unlucky, as it could have been a BOTD try.
On field decisions were absolutely ridiculous both ways. The knock on against Yow Yeh, his second try after a dodgy pass from Reed, and the Reed knock on when it's the Dragons player who clearly kicks the ball, influenced the result directly, as they either sanctioned or led to tries.

The better team won imo, but it was good to see the Dragons play that expansive brand of footy, made up for a great game to watch!

Funny to see the Dragons supporters whinge about Origin scheduling. Not that I disagree, since the Broncos cop it every year pretty much since inception. Can't wait we play Manly, Storm and the Dragons again with a full roster!!!

Just for clarity, the Dragons weren't the only team missing players.
We had Hodges, Parker, Gillett, Te'o, McGuire, Tronc and Kenny on the side lines too...

MOM was Reed imo, but Locky controlled the game beautifully, especially in that second half, when he turned momentum with that 40/20 and how cool was he when he dummied right, to come back and score that field goal to seal the deal? Great stuff!

Full credit to the Broncos tonight, but gees we look tired no wonder this comp hasn't seen a back to back premiership in years. I'd be happy for Benny to let all our guys have 3-4 weeks off then charge into September/October knowing that we are fresh rather then our current situation

Saints were underdone and unlucky tonight.
Brisbane thoroughly deserved the win. Their forwards were great and their backs showed their class.
Still pisses me off though.

Just wondering. Both teams could have got a few more from holding down maybe.

Broncos played a very fine line with the 10 all night. There were numerous times where there were about 4 or 5 guys off when we were battling out of our own 20. Hannant was also not square on 3 occasions that I can remember and made a tackle inside the 10.

Broncos weren't a one penalty team in that game. With that said, they were the better team on the night and deserved the win. It may have been a different game if it wasn't officiated so poorly but it was an entertaining game nevertheless but incredibly frustrating to watch at times.

Since when have we started to played a forward pass which bounces 2 metres forward and then they allow a try?

I believe you either didn’t watch the game or you are looking at this game with you BRONCOS glasses on.
I believe this game and many other games final scores are influenced by the cheating Referees.

I agree with this, about the guts (of both teams really).
The knock on call against Yow Yeh was bad at the start of the game.

In my opinion, and of course I'm bias, Saints had more calls go against them, Brisbane also had some calls go against them.
