I really hope you watched the whole game. You see this is a sneak preview of what we're going to do to your rabble. And Old Boys Day is a special occasion for the Knights, so I'm optimistic we'll put the 50 into LOL@50uff$ on the day. You'll have some extra emotional baggage to put on the plane to Bali after we're done with you. We'll be sure to send you a postcard from the NRL finals series.

Quite appropriate you mentioned LOL@50uff$, Silent Knight. Tomorrow, it will be exactly 12 years since this memorable match occured (which, I was privileged enough to have attended):

I can still remember when Knights were up 48-0 or so and they conceeded a penalty in their own half, some souffs fans were yelling at Julian O'Neill "GO FOR GOAL! GO FOR GOAL!

LOL@60uff$

Well, congratulations Newcastle. You have certainly had a great season. Should make the eight and get a bit of semi final experience. Definitely finishing where they should and where I thought they would. Canberra however....... the biggest disappointment of the year and maybe overrated by most after their credible run last year. Definitely missing the 5/8 but that's no real excuse. Apparently they had a team of champions at the start of the year. Now they have a bunch of busteds that can't lay a finger on a 40 year old centre. Embarrassing to say the least. I fondly remember certain Raiders fans spruiking Jarrad Croker and Daniel Vidot as superstars after they thrashed Newcastle last season! Oh dear.

Played like shit.

Still above Parramatta.
Something to be proud of, keep reaching for those stars champ

We know how crap we are, at least our boys are having a dig. Unlike your rabble of a mob who were favs for a top 4 spot and are down the cellar with us. Even better you have a Nuffie coach who won't be sacked.

??? We were playing low percentage football the last 15 mins to obviously try and reach 50 again, which I think most people would agree on and it was a little sloppy.
But we won by 32 points of course I'm happy.

Haha sorry i was being sarcastic i shoulda chucked in a couple :sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm: before pressing "submit reply".

What happened to Matt Orford? Wasn't he playing for the Raiders at the start of this season? It looks like he vanished off into the midst of obscurity.

Lucky the cut off for the finals is finishing above Parra. Congrats on a fantastic season. With all the talk of your boys finishing in the top 4 this season and being contenders i can only assume you're chuffed with running 14th with four rounds to go.

Now this is where I'd hit the roof if I were a Canberra supporter.
what happened to the mentality of a few weeks ago?
There were a few crowing after they beat Saints and I said then "you should be pissed because they can't sustain that mindset throughout a season".

Well, exhibit A - this game today.
Newcastle get the points for turning up, and they were the only team on the field that did.
Canberra, the club and its players, need to pull their head out of their arse collectively and realise it takes months of dedication to become serious contenders, not sporadic bursts of playing well when you f**king feel like it.

In memory of the cockfarts that once said "this game has shown why the eels can win the grand final" I am actually going to be serious and say this is the game that shows why Newcastle will flourish under Bennett and Canberra will continue as some kind of f**king joke with little chance for success.
Pathetic.

I can't find too much to disagree with there.

What are your thoughts regarding Furner as a coach, skeepe? If I recall correctly you wanted his position reviewed a few weeks backs? Or was that another user?

FWIW, I have seen a lot of users stating that the lack of Campese this season is the reason for our diabolical year and for this reason we ought to see how Furner goes in 2012 with a fully fit Campo on board. I agree to an extent, however IMO, our problems do not lie where we miss Campese's presence. If you are to review our games it is not organisational problems that are the cornerstone for our incompetencies. It is poor decision making, continual errors, terrible defensive reads, an abysmal tactical approach and finally poor attitude. Unless these things are altered before 2012, I see a correlation to this year on the horizon.

Yeah I agree. Campese on his own can't fix this mess.

I like Furner, but it's becoming pretty clear the players aren't responding to him. Something's gotta give IMO, and one way or the other I don't think it will be pretty.

It must be pretty frustrating to be a Raiders fan right now when there doesn't seem to be any accountabilty for the poor season. The board seems safe and the coach seems safe.

I've hit the roof awhile ago, now I can't be bothered because no matter how much I'm after change, nothing is happening.

We've had some pretty ordinary line-ups in the last 10 years and some pretty terrible seasons. But I could cope better with those sides because they showed a lot heart, even in defeat. This side has the potential to do some much (even without Campo) but they are just f*cking souless.

I can easily say that this is the worst Raiders team I've ever seen. Would love Mal or Loz to storm into the dressing room and tear strips off them for being such a disgrace to the club.
