Well spotted Inky!
Gee Braybrook gets off on the Storm.
Melbourne get away with absolute murder around the ruck. Has Cameron Smith ever been penalised since attempting to decapitate Thaiday?

Is this a record for least amount of posts for an NRL game in a game day thread ??...bloody quiet !!.

IMO Storm were not that convincing but pulled it together in the last 20 mins...thye lost a bit of structure in their 5th tackle options in the first half and need to sort this out or the Broncs will make them pay next week.

Uate is a great winger...fast and strong and Mullen is the man for NSW. He likes the physical side of the game and has a good kicking game and this is what NSW needs. His defence is strong and this sets him apart from Soward IMO.

Lowrie had his best game for Storm tonight as did Norrie and it was these blokes who needed to stand up and dominate the ruck and they did this well.

Do any of you idiots constantly bagging Soward for his defence actually watch any of our games? Not that Mullen is competing with Soward for a spot anyway. One is a 5/8, the other is a halfback. Be happy enough with putting them together given Pearce's shithouse form.

On the game, geez Newcastle can't take a trick injury wise. Feel sorry for the poor bastards.

Oh, and does Call Me Cam ever get pulled up for his forward passes from dummy half?

Our squad is deadset like a revolving door. 1 comes back in and another 3 get pushed out.

Last night's performance was shocking, but I expected it. We'd played well in every game this year, and I couldn't see us keeping it up (especially with the injury toll and having only had 2 games at home). The bye has come at a very good time.

Mullen and young Roberts played well, but I can't say much for anyone else.

Bagging Soward ??...settle down princess and stop jumping to conclusions.

I made that comparison because I don't think he has the defensive game to combat Queensland and Mullen could jump into halfback and add that physical aspect needed.

Give me example of a forward pass thrown by Smith ??...obviously can't.

Soward will hold his own in defence against the Toads, like he does every week in the NRL. You don't pick a half for their defensive ability anyway. I agree with you on picking Mullen at 7, but who would you pair with him? Obviously in your mind Soward is a defensive liability, so that rules him out. So who would you pick instead? An attacking liability like Sutton or Anasta?

Smith is the originator of the flat pass from dummy half that flirts with being forward in order to get a roll on, a style every hooker has now copied. I notice other hookers getting pulled up regularly, but Smith never seems to.
