Anyone who wants a more reliable stream for Cowboys-Broncs http://www.territoryfm.com/ 'listen now' top right corner. One on the Cowboys website is terrible.

14-0 to the Broncos now. These commentators should be shot.

Easy there. Don't get too hyped up and sound like Bunnies supporters when they win the Charity Shield.

And yes, it is just a trial. Which is why the only thing that matters is no injuries. Which thankfully didn't happen.

I'm excited because it's the first trial we've won for a long time, and it was against you guys who I rate as premiership favourites.

Nothing much else to it mate :) As you say, it is just a trial.

And yeah no injuries, which is definitely the most important thing.

Titans 42 v Souths 4

If this is how the Souths halves pairing is going to continue, will they actually manage to win a game this year? Apprarently they were utterly hopeless.

For Souths fans sake, I hope that Sandow and Sutton are just pulling everyone's legs to lull them into thinking they're not quite as good as BunniesMan has been saying they are.

Eels 30-10 Tigers full time.

Eels scored all 30 in the first half, Hayne went off for the whole second half, most of the young players got full runs in the second half too.

Considering it was at Campbeltown and the Tigers had a full-strength side, pretty darn amazing result.

Apparently Hayne was brilliant and didn't play like a play-maker, the halves in Robson, Mortimer, Mcguire, etc were all good, and Taniela Lasalo looks like man of the match.

Can't comment on the Tigers as the updates I got were all from Eels fans.
Lote scored both their tries though.
Hayne wasnt brilliant, was fairly quiet tbh tho did score a good solo try, lost the ball on the first tackle too.
Tigers were crap, Parra outplayed them in all facets....looked far keener and the hindmarsh intercept was just plain embarrassing

Refs havent changed either, still fkn blind

Steady on mate, we had names like Moltzen, Ellis, Payten, Gibbs, Fulton, Ryan and Murdoch-Masila. Some pretty handy players missing there.

Nearly all our guys were playing their first game for the year too.

I'm just happy no injuries happened. We always lose trials against decent quality sides (ie not QLD cup teams or reserve grade sides).

Neville Costigan is a tool and a thug.
Masada Josefa is a tool, a thug and a knob.
Petero Civoneceva is an absolute legend.

Good match, tight finish. Had a good time getting paid to sit on the sideline and "work" all night :)

Sutton is average, always has been.. has very few good moments in his game. He's not a 5/8, thats for sure. Don't know why people think their halves will be any different this year.

That's Masada he's a grub. Yeah it was great of Petero to man the canteen. That's the behind scenes stuff that the boys do. It doesn't make the papers but flick beer at a mate. Front page news

Summary of weekend resuts:

All the scores for the six NRL trial fixtures scheduled for this weekend, including the Titans demolition of Souths and Penrith's last gasp victory over Newcastle.

So far this weekend, we have seen both the Dragons and Warriors continue their good pre-season form. St George Illawarra head into their World Club Challenge following a win over Canterbury, while the Warriors triumphed over Queensland Cup side Burleigh fairly comfortably in front of a big crowd of 8,500 at Whangarei.

The Titans turned on the razzle dazzle at Coffs Harbour, running in eight tries against a woeful defensive effort from South Sydney. Meanwhile, a typically disciplined Storm side showed too much class for a scrappy Canberra outfit. However the match, played at Bega Recreational Oval in front of 6,169 fans, was the Raiders' first pre-season trial.

At Campbelltown Stadium a solid crowd of 12,761 saw the Eels tear the Tigers to shreds. Highlights included an 80 metre intercept from Nathan Hindmarsh, who palmed off players repeatedly before setting up Justin Horo. In his return to Parramatta colours, Casey McGuire played a leading hand from the hooking role.

The clash between Penrith and Newcastle looked set for a 22-all draw, before a stunning last minute try to Adrian Purtell gave his side a six point win. In wet conditions at Alice Springs, a sloppy North Queensland slumped to a 26-4 loss at the hands of Brisbane. Playing for the Broncos, Norths Devils outside back Jack Reed scored a double on the outside of Justin Hodges, who made a succesful return to the paddock.
