Can anyone make an observation around here without having someone think it means something completely different? f**k me.

You didn't say anything about the surface. How do you know it was uneven? I couldn't tell by watching it on the TV and I didn't hear anybody say anything about it. It is a Rugby League ground where games are generally played, so it can't be too life threatening, even with the maniacal longish grass.

Just an observation. I've seen park footy grounds that are in better condition, just surprising it was chosen.

An opinion, not something you need to lecture anyone on. A fantastic initiative regardless of the conditions and especially from a team like Newcastle who can certainly relate to the tragedy.
