Just home from the game. Really proud of our forwards, had no chance once Reynolds went down. Looked absolutely rudderless.

32-8 was pretty unfair in the end, but oh well. I hope the Doggies win next week. 70k was a great effort from both clubs too.

Next year!

Here's my two cents...the injury to Reynolds effectively ended the Bunnies season.

Sutton is not a playmaker and his kicking game is average and this showed. Inglis was disappointing and really did not have any impact on the game. Burgess and Eastwood led from the front but Taylor is still a frustrating player...he started well and once again went MIA.

As for the Dogs...Inu is a freak of a player and could be a matchwinner next week. IMO Inu, Wright and Graham were the best and at the end of the day, structure will always win over aggression in a final like this.

We got super lucky with that possible 8 point try. Perrett was barely touched. Unlucky for Reynolds and Souths though. Adam played a clinical game up until he went out of the game, then it just showed up Sutton for what he is and has always been. Bunnies, sad to see you go! Best of luck for next year.

Dear Australia,

Kiwis scored 6 tries tonight. We are taking over the league like black people took over the NBA and NFL

Unlucky for Souths, if Reynolds plays on it couldve been a different game, however I still think the Bulldogs wouldve won anyway.

Great effort from Souths anyway to go close to the big one.

Their forwards really played well, Burgess brothers, Asotasi, Ben Lowe, Taylor at times looked dangerous at the fringes, but as mentioned before went missing in key moments. No real loss IMO, I reckon Te'o would benefit more.

As for the Bulldogs, its a case of how do you stop them. Reminds me of 2004 theyve got the forwards to out muscle Melbourne.

Eastwood unlucky not to get man of the match.

Head up Souths fans. They gave it a real go and it was never going to be easy, even with Reynolds on the field. A very cruel end for his season.

I think Souths will be a much better team next year. Congrats on your season.

Rabs the moron not even watching the game

Geez he was terrible tonight.

Called Barba Kris Keating, and mixed up the two wingers, Perrett and Wright, twice. Was talking about some Big Bang Theory episode and thought it was a Souths scrum. Well Souths knocked on FFS.

Add to that he wasnt even calling the Eastwood try until he was about 5 meters from scoring.

Concentrate on the game. :x

lol @ Graham motm, has pedestrianism ever been so richly praised?

Refs, diving and Reynolds injury ruined the game, wasn't worth the drive.

i genuinely think if Reynolds didn't get injured Souths would have won but no use living on what ifs

Bulldogs v Storm

gee i can't stand either side

but

Melbourne will win. They're just too good. They beat Souths well and smashed Manly. Dogs only just beat Manly and beat Souths without their main playmaker.

Melbourne will have too much class imo

Inu will go missing next week...

After 41 years you'd think Souths could get a wee bit of luck, but no, it seems the rugby league gods enjoy nothing more than a good lol@souffs. Chin up Bunnies fans (excluding BM and Nemiwuss), you finally have a fair dinkum team to cheer for. If Reynolds can avoid 2nd year blues and you can work out your edge defence, you'll give it a shake next year. Moving Sutton to 13 and finding a decent 6 would help too.

Thanks Jason and everyone else who wished us well.

I hope your teams have success next year too.

Stoked doesn't even begin to describe it. Proud of the boys and stoked we pushed Souths out.

Now onto Melbourne.

Felt we had a great first half but we slowly lost our way without Reynolds and in particular, Luke not being able to get our roll on from dummy half

Still no excuse for horrid defence in the second half and we will do well to see the back of a few players, namely Taylor. Need to badly sort out defence out wide too come next year

Overall, very proud of the team this year.

Good luck in the GF doggies

Simple equation - Reynolds is the key for Souths.

Souths 8-4 with him, 0-28 without him.
