We killed ourself in that first half, broncos capitalised. Second half came out firing which was good to see. We definately have better attack than previous years, 1 or 2 years ago if we were behind that much there was no way we would have had the attack to get anywhere near the broncos

Yeah but our defense wouldn't have let 24 points in before half time either.

True, theres obviously some issues with attitude that need to be addressed, but prior at centre i couldnt understand, why not play green who has proved himself in defence and has better attack.

I'm not going to bag Prior, I think it was gutsy that he took the field. I do agree with you that Green should have been picked though with Prior in the pack at 13 in place of Latimore.
Green would have been closer to Morris than Prior was in that first half and a try likely would have followed.

Oh well, Coops back next week helps that.

Just got home from the game.

Dragons just couldnt hold the ball that first half. I'd be interested to see what their completion rate was in the first half. Very poor I'd imagine. We made them pay big time.

Gota say I was getting quite worried at 24-16, I though they would run us down. Dragons were looking very dangerous whenever in possession in our half.

Bloody happy with the two points

Think it was 8 or 9 errors. Not certain though.

Possession was almost 70/30 to Brisbane at half time....we had nobody to blame but ourselves. Held the ball in the second half and look what happened.....if only they did that from the start. :?

This could be anything.
Wally still sneaking 'dictating' into every sentence.

tumblr_ll8e7sPAQD1qe2tb0o1_500_thumb.jpg

broncos are dictating the shit out of terms right now

Brisbane dictating Morris over the sideline

Dictation all across this great nation. We'll be lucky to score one tonight

24-0 Broncos halftime. What a dominant dictating of terms that half was

The dictation is so strong that the UN will need to step in and put an end to it.

Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, Kim jong ill and the brisbane broncos. All time great dictators

Wally needs to dictate terms with Hadley. Vossy is so much better, he knows all the players and always has something interesting to say. Like tlaking about the 1948 reunion.

Vossy said on twitter that it is a one time thing.

So we have to enjoy Wally's term dictating for tonight only.

:lol::lol:

Well done Broncos. They always seen to dictate terms in the 1st 20 or so minutes of games against the Saints in recent seasons. I wonder what Price said to his team at half time....

Abominable first 40 by us. Not interested in either holding the ball or tackling. Nice effort to come back in the second 40, but the game was over at half time. Well done donkeys.

And I'm not sure which game Usain Bolt was watching, but Weyman was our best player by a wide margin.

It was a good performance by Weyman. Certainly showed his origin credentials against some of the Queensland forwards.
Felt Morris was really good for the Dragons also, defense was outstanding for a fullback. If an opposition player is annoying me, they are probably doing a good job.

Game was a tale of two halves though when looking at completions.
First half:
Broncos - 20/22
Dragons - 7/14
Second half:
Broncos - 10/14
Dragons - 19/22

Well done Broncos, deserved the win (as hard as it is for me to say). McCulloch murdered us in the first half.

Having said that Broncos will not make the 8 (a scrape in is possible). Hodges is still a merkin. After Turdday got crunched by De Belin he did nothing, Wallace was a surprise.

Its a bit of a toss up who let in the softest try but Stanley had that much time to stroll over he couldve checked into Queen St mall to check out the cornrow shops in the Myer Centre before feathering the ball over the line. Woeful from the Groncos defense.

Ha you twat. If the Broncs don't make the 8 the saints are dead set spoon contenders. Both will make the 8 easily with the absolute jokes that are putting themselves forward this year. Wallace also carved you guys to bits in the first half. As hard as its going to be for you dicks to admit it. One of the best halves I have seen him play in broncos colours.

I thought morris's positional play was very ordinary at times. Good kicking teams could very well exploit his positional play. Broncos nearly caught him napping a few times.

This game was full of big hits. T'eos missile shoulder into Soward was priceless, and was a pretty soft penalty.

No softer penalty given then when Soward was penalised.
Nobody even knows what he was penalised for.

Went both ways, the better side won, as we only played for around 30-35 minutes. Brisbane took full advantage of our pathetic first half.

Have they changed the tackle rule from last years semi when Moz was injured. That penalty against Soward was pathetic, Teo's hit deserved a penalty.

Meh move on to rnd 6.

Ref must have thought someone had a hand on him making him held. Silly move from Soward anyway. Spitting the dummy after he spilled the pill.

Impressive game from Wallace. On form he should probably be NSW 7 but I just dont think hes quite as that level, neither is Pearce mind you.

I still got that feeling the broncos will fade post origin though...
