Shouldve been a scrum, Sharks feed if he ruled idris played at the ball in the tackle...badger stated he hadnt called held.

Why the penalty??

Exactly Idris played the whistle and was penalised by a bloke 100 yards away with a button.
Badger clearly stated he hadn't called held but was happy to blow the whistle against Idris.

Along with Gordon getting a free 20m tap and not getting pinged for crawling off the mark, no wonder the Sharks had better field position for the whole half.

amazing... if the ref on the field doesnt call held, how can he possibly send it upstairs. if he is held then it should be called, otherwise players should be playing to the whistle.

I don't even think Idris was going for the strip, he looked like he was trying to put him in-goal and he just lost it. Shit reffing by Badger in any case, he was right there, he should have made a call.
