Well, as a fan I'm not too disappointed with that one, despite the result I thought our boys put in a good effort considering we were missing both of our props, both of our halves (after ray got injured) and our best centre. We traditionally don't play too well in Sunday games and travelling to Auckland to play a full strength warriors outfit was always a massive ask. I really liked what I saw from Anthony Mitchell on debut and I thought Morgan showed a lot of good signs, not everything worked but in years gone by our creativity and direction would have been nonexistent.

Shame about the result but Im not cutting my wrists about it, plenty of good signs.

Considering the odds were stack against the Cowboys Warriors winning was the most obvious and realistic result so I'm not too fussed about it they did well to bring it to 22-18 at one point. It would of being nice of them to steal the win but it wasn't to be I look forward to the return match at DFS with full strength teams.

Sam Rapira
Manu Vatuvei
Jerome Ropati

Even Manu's back up dropped out through injury and Sharky Brown ended up playing hooker (horrible to see).
