Tonight really just showed that the Tigers need some speed out wide. When a player can run sideways to score a try just because your backs are too slow to catch him you know it. Koroibete and Grant in next week please.

Tigers definitely have another gear, I just don't think they could find it missing so many players. Benji looked completely at sea without Farah and Moltzen directing traffic for him, and it's hard to expect Sironen to pick up the pieces after just a few games.

A few concerning signs for us, whether it's rust from the bye or symptomatic of deeper problems I'm not sure. While I think we'll comfortably account for the Eels on Friday, Manly poses a much bigger challenge.

EDIT: and I know he scored a try but FMD Joel Reddy is an ordinary player.

Why oh why do we bother with the video ref when they get it wrong time after time after time after time? There's no way in the world that Beau Ryan try should have been given, there was absolutely no doubt that it was a knock on.

Absolutely pathetic.

Oh and one more thing. How the hell wasn't ennis penalized for his copybook cannon ball tackle, then twist on woods in the first half?! It was one of the worst I've seen, isaac like would have been proud

It's such a shame about ennis being in the dogs team. Hasler has got them playing such a great brand of footy and they have many likeable, exciting players. Barba, morris, inu, halatau, graham etc.

When the tigers go Id like to jump on their bandwagon but I just couldn't bring myself to support a team with ennis as captain. He just seems like a sh*t human

OMG I AGREE WITH SKEEPE

Seriously, how they missed him knocking it forward into Jackson has me absolutely perplexed. No doubt, no benefit, no try.

Also noticed two balls on the field when Lawrence scored - and he ran directly where the second ball was laying on the ground... shouldn't play be stopped in that situation? :?

Yeah, personally I just think that if you can't win inside 80 minutes you shouldn't get the same amount of points as someone who can win within 80.

How's this if we MUST have Golden period?

Win in Regular time: 3 points
Lose in Regular time: 0 points
Win in Golden Try (get rid of point): 2 points
Lose in Golden Try: 1 Point

How the f**k is Rabs getting PROMOTED to the olympics. He's shit at his job.

:?

Rabs can seem senile but for a start, he's one of the best sports callers in Australia, even if you don't like him you can't really deny that.

As for "being promoted" - Rabs has been calling swimming and I think athletics on nine for DECADES, it's hardly a promotion... and it's the first time 9 have had the Olympic rights in recent memory.

Sadly I'm beginning to agree, but I fear we don't have another backup option at hooker. Ennis as he is now has too many errors and poor discipline and probably saw the Tigers get closer than they should have tbh.

Well done Dogs,Sheens is a knob, and until he realises Benji is no halfback,we will suffer more of this shite.

Out of Play 2. An off side player shall not take any part in the game
or attempt in any way to influence the course of the
game. He shall not encroach within ten metres of an
opponent who is waiting for the ball and shall
Retire ten metres immediately retire ten metres from any opponent
who first secures possession of the ball

Does this not mean Adam Blair was offside for Beau Ryan's try? as he was 5m in front of Benji and 5m away from where Beau caught the ball?

Only if he attempts to, or becomes involved in the play.

I hope someone puts that last attacking play by the Tigers up on youtube where they went backwards 30m. That was some serious LOLs

Incorrect. By standing there rather than retiring 10 metres, he was still offside by the laws of the game.

That said, the NRL don't always play by the laws of rugby league. They like to make up their own rules a lot, and ignoring a passive offside may be one of them.

Well done, Dogs. Definitely look better when they have James Graham on the park. Such a talent coming off the bench. Barba starting to hit another gear now with his confidence, brilliant again.

That kid from Penrith looked really good last night for Wests, provided plenty of energy from dummy half, just a pity he didn't have the support around the ruck with him.

Yep, agreed. If we have to have a GP, I think that's how the points structure should be.

Really had enough of Sheens as coach.

He lacks any ability to alter structure when it isn't working anymore.

Playing Heighno for any more than 30 minutes at a time when you have Bell there is a joke as is posting young Murdoch out wide for such a long stint.

I have alot of greivances with the WT side and structure but it would be poor form also not to congratulate the Dogs, too good on the night by a margin far greater than the score shows

Benji ran through and put them all onside.
