I believe most clubs split that between the first graders for that year. Even if you only played 20 guys which is unlikely it's only $5K a piece. Nothing to write home about. Just a small bonus really.
even rich nrl players would still not mind having an extra 5k.

dont forget...their "career" lasts around 10-15 yrs if theyre lucky. so put into context...an extra 5k to those not on inglis (soon to be) contracts, is important. its a chunk of their mortgage and most arent able to sustain their career earnings post nrl. only a few select names parley their on field experience to the off field. (even as a dragons supporter, i think gasnier has no place commentating lol wendal on the other hand is perfect.)

sorry a little off topic hehe.

i think the resting of players evens things up, but having said that the bulldogs are still fielding a very solid team.

i still say it will depend more on how the raiders play than what the bulldogs do. they have the potential just not the consistency. hopefully turns out to be a quality game.

*sigh* i cant believe the season is almost over grrrr its been an awesome one.

Dogs resting players or not, the last few weeks indicate they're headed for a loss. I think this game will be it. Blacklock said it - it's up to the Raiders to win it. The dogs will field a quality side regardless of who they rest.

It's currently 6 degrees with an apparent temperature of -1. Oh and it's raining. Any Dogs fans coming tonight better rug up!

So one post says Barba is playing and the next post says he's not playing. What's going on? Inquiring dream teams need to know!!

Yeah I've been getting mixed information from all over the place. I heard that Tolman might not be playing which might f**k my Supercoach team a bit.

I've heard Tolman and Ennis definitely out, maybe Barba and Inu. Guess we won't know till one hour before kick off.

skeepe..

ive picked raiders to win (to knock out the tigers) and im guessing so have you.

no mentioning the refs this entire thread. a challenge for you not to argue any calls and only mention what your own team did. ;)

There will have to be at least four or five Dogs being rested to justify some of the massive bets being placed on Canberra. Either that or some people have a hell of a lot of money to throw away.

Des's under the radar worked unbelievably well with the TAB....The punter who put 33k on the Raiders would have thought Barba and Inu were out as it was reported at one stage"

I honestly reckon the Raiders would have been right in this game even if the Dogs were full strength. It's just that kind of situation. The Dogs should find motivation difficult to come by at stages in below freezing, wet conditions tonight.

Unless the Raiders have improved their defense from last week I can't see them winning this.
