oh lord lol carneys kicking....... he basically cost them the game. a few mins remaining and he kicks it dead in the middle of the field. *shakes his head*

Yeah that was poor. He's experienced enough now that he should be able to close out a game. Despite all his talent, he just isn't a clutch player.

Melbourne should get rolled in the semis if they play anything like that.

17 errors from us, sika Manu playing his heart out for the sharks, a forward pass for a try, and a try from a short "grounding" and a penalty goal from gallen "losing" the ball

Yet despite all that, play like that in the finals and we are gone. Terrible terrible

Manly v dogs GF, and society is the loser in that scenario

Shocking game. Neither team look like contenders with that form.

Well, Carney is playing injured, Tupou, Graham, Gardner, Pomeroy (pretty much our best attacking players),Wright, Ross all out but should/could be back for the finals, we defended well, for a game that hardly matters, so I'm not panicked.

Plenty of games when we are close (which is most, either that or we get smashed) are "shocking" games and the other team plays "poorly" if you ask many observers, but we don't allow other teams to play very expansive football, and most teams beat us in close games on better kick tries (as tonight), which is something we need to work on.

But the lack of killer instinct all year has been a concern.

Losing so many matches right at the end is an issue. We have given away 9 premiership points AFTER the 79th minute, when we were in front near the end in all those games.

Agree. But apart from Manly, who really is in great form?

Canberra?

The Sharks should still get a home final which is a big advantage for them.

I'm starting to think they'll finish 7th and won't get that home final.

Canberra should beat NZ and based on tonight I think NQ will beat Cronulla.
