I understand the criticisms of Walsh but it's hard not to laugh at them tonight because the whole team, with the exception of Coote, was rubbish.

Simmons shouldn't be in first grade next week but will.

As for our cap, unfortunately we're still struggling with the ghosts of the previous administration who regularly paid top quality money for below average nuffies.

Jennings wasn't rubbish, he does the best he can given the shit ball he receives and complete lack of opportunities

Penrith have now signaled an ominous warning to the Titans and Eels for the wooden spoon.

We had Gordon, Grant, Armit, Smith & Plum all out. All would be in our top 17. Those 2 teams are full strength. We put Gordon (Or anyone) over Simmons we are alot closer.

We take those 2 chances in the 1st 1/2 we are up 12-0 & it's a different game. Sure we have problem not bad enough for last

Anyone not named Coote, Uaisele or Weston was absolute trash for Penrith tonight. Simmons especially gets a solo mention for being totally inept and handing Manly possession time and time again.

The halves didn't show any signs of creativity and our forwards were a bunch of total powder puffs. If that's what we're going to serve up week in, week out lock us in for the spoon. Tim Grant and Michael Gordon aren't going to make an ounce of difference when we're handling that poorly and showing no imagination or aggression in attack.

I understand your opinion and I agree with a lot of it, I was pretty disappointed that he was recently re-signed for 3 years.

It just seems though that you go above and beyond bagging the bloke, it's almost personal.

He's not great but there ain't anyone pushing him, hell Burns is also an inadequate 5/8.

When you're starting guys like Dayne Weston and Danny Galea in the front row, your halves are gonna struggle period...

Austin has talent.
Seijka has talent and they both seem to be prepared to take the line on.

Austin could play at 13, with Burns / Lewis halves, or give Seijka a run.

It's nothing personal with Walsh and if he shows some good form I'll be first to say he has played well. But to be a good 1st grade half back and get some wraps surely you have to do more than pass and put up a kick.....he never takes the line on. It's been that way for quite a few years.

Soward is the same for us.
He doesn't run the ball anywhere near enough and doesn't deserve the credit he gets at times.

I'd love to see Austin at 13, but a Burns/Lewis halves pairing would be even worse in the creativity department.

Walsh never has been and never will be anymore than an very ordinary to average half with a really good short kicking game

He was less rubbish than most but still rubbish how many times do he and Usaiele need to go within inches of the sideline on a short side play on the 1st before they learn not to take them on on the outside.

Do you really think so?
Honestly, (and not taking the piss with this), what creativity does Walsh offer for your team?
Burns can kick, Lewis can put in grubbers near the line and we saw that Coote can kick.

Yeah you're probably right, I just think Walsh offers a little more in attack than Burns and Lewis.

I would prefer to see Walsh paired with someone like Austin at 6, Austin will take the line on effecitively (unlike in volume like Burns) and can provide a spark, that leaves Walsh doing what he does best, kicking and organising the troops.

Would like to see Burns supplant Kingston at hooker.

I do think Burns would be good at 9 also.

Spot on. We have plenty of crap in the squad. Lewis/Jennings were well contained by Lyon/Watmough & we had no spark anywhere else.

That's the problem. Add no Grant, Armit no go forward. Plum no big hits. no Smith we loose 30 odd tackles a game. Gordon's general quality. We get smashed up front. I can't critise either half. The right side needs to be dropped.

Jennings tried hard, Coote was alright but f**k me the rest were horrible. Need to give someone else a shot at right centre and Walsh should dropped.

Armit, Smith and Plum are all average dude, c'mon lets be serious

But are in our starting 17. Shows the lack of quality we have.

Who else can make 30+ tackles besides Smith? Who can hit harder then Plum? We lack go forward. Armit will give us 100m+ & no stupid errors. While not ideal all 3 do a job for us & are being missed big time
