The Warriors pack steam-rolled Melbourne, most sets they were battling hard out to get 25-30 metres and then were flustered on their kick. Can't believe we lost by 18... Gutted. I take a bad loss fairly easily generally, easy to admit you're outplayed... here one goose at the back costs his team dearly. Matulino, Packer, Taylor, Vatuvei who rolled them in the middle of the ruck (Vatuvei's hit ups were deadly) should be able to do paintball shots to Inu's nads over the next week. What an arrogant knob-jockey.

Look, Inu's f**k ups aside, we should've been thrashing them with our dominance.

To only score 14 points tonight indicates that Godinet and Maloney were completely incompetent. Honestly, this is why Maloney gives me the shits. Sure, he goes hard, but he basically has no idea.

Maloney has never been a strong playmaker, his strengths have always been hole running and support play.

Hard to blame Godinet who only found out he was playing the day of the game.

Then when Locke went off things went completely geniused.

Inu at fullback, but Godinet at fullback on attack, Mannering and Brown sharing centre duties, Mateo/Taylor seemingly playing five eight, and Henry continuing to show he is a skillful second rower playing centre.

We must have had the slowest backline in the comp out there tonight. Once we were stretched we didn't have the speed to recover. That was the big difference. We stretched the Storm several times but they had the speed to get multiple bodies over and recover.

Until we find speed in the outside backs we will continue to suffer losses like this. With Locke/Johnson out our lack of speed was visibly exposed.

Given all the shuffling, why on earth did we also shuffle Godinet? It tends to suggest a lack of confidence in him as a proper halve?

I can "sort of" understand the logic for the Godinet shuffling. He played a lot of fullback for the Vulcans and is a closer style of fullback to Locke than Inu is, but yeah considering all the other shuffling it might have been better to leave him in the one position.

Good win after being dominated all game. Warriors had so many opportunites in the Storm 20 yet couldnt convert.
Storm forwards dominated once again. This is why teams like Manly and Warriors have success against them.
Jason Ryles has been awesome in the Storm jersey. Couple of mistakes made from trying to keep the play alive though. Ryan Hoffman gives me the shits though.

Tend to agree...if Maloney had the class and ability that the media say he has then he should have taken control of the game and called the plays over Godinet but it did'nt happen.

Watching the Warriors they did dominate Storm to an extent in the middle of the park but Storm kept Vatuvei quiet on attack and their defence was the difference give or take a video ref decision.

Proctor, Neilson and Ryles were strong for Storm.

Dane Neilsens defense has been first rate this season. Deadset shut-down centre. One on one he is so reliable. Definitely punches above his weight.
