Inu left his purple shirt in NZ
I'd even dare say (Inu aside) that we were the better team today.
Look, Inu's f**k ups aside, we should've been thrashing them with our dominance.
To only score 14 points tonight indicates that Godinet and Maloney were completely incompetent. Honestly, this is why Maloney gives me the shits. Sure, he goes hard, but he basically has no idea.
Also no mention of Pita Godinet's hopeless defense, every bit as bad as Johnson
Maloney has never been a strong playmaker, his strengths have always been hole running and support play.
Hard to blame Godinet who only found out he was playing the day of the game.
Then when Locke went off things went completely geniused.
Inu at fullback, but Godinet at fullback on attack, Mannering and Brown sharing centre duties, Mateo/Taylor seemingly playing five eight, and Henry continuing to show he is a skillful second rower playing centre.
We must have had the slowest backline in the comp out there tonight. Once we were stretched we didn't have the speed to recover. That was the big difference. We stretched the Storm several times but they had the speed to get multiple bodies over and recover.
Until we find speed in the outside backs we will continue to suffer losses like this. With Locke/Johnson out our lack of speed was visibly exposed.
