Parra will win this, the dogs are still an awful team and their in characteristic good start is long gone. Both teams will be joining the raiders on holiday in September.

Serious question, if the Dogs are awful, how did they keep Manly and Melbourne (arguably the best two teams of the modern era) to 12 points in consecutive weeks.

I'm not suggesting we're world beaters, we've lost 3 on the trot... but fair dinkum, rating Parra over us?

That said... I'm not confident, we always lose the ones we should win.

Parra beat Manly too so that is irrelevant, Manly arn't the side they were last year.

Melbourne is a different story though.

I feel the Dogs have ran out of steam a little they usually start the season well and then fall away then pick up at the end again.

Parra on the other hand will be hoping to get a win (obviously) but not just to get the papers off their back (even if they win there will still be massive media attention imo) but to prove to themselves they can do it.

This will be a good game, always is irrespective of the score line

good luck Dogs

Last year the Raiders beat the Storm in Melbourne and the Dragons - the two teams who were everyones tip as the best in the comp at the time. As a matter of fact, no matter how bad we are going or how good the Dragons are going - we will always beat them. We also managed to lose twice to the 2011 Titans and the 2011 Eels - two of the worst teams of the modern era.

My point? You can't judge a side based on who they beat. Teams are up and down like yo-yo's, and an average team can beat a brilliant team. And a good team can most certainly lose to a poor team.

My point is that this bulldogs team is ordinary, and after the rubbish that was spun about how good they will go this season after their good start, I am predicting it will all unravel and that it will be showcased tonight.

We'll see I guess.

No, we finished above you on the table last year (three of the worst teams of the modern era) but we met once in 2011 and the Raiders won 25-12.

To be honest I can't remember the last time we won in Canberra.

Dogs are due a win. For a good team they've lost too many in a row. Plus, Canterbury always play better with a bit of mongrel in them which this clash will bring out. Barba to score a double.

Actually the dogs have been going really good considering their main playmaker has been out injured most of the season! with hodkinson back they will easily make the 4 imo.

take out the main playmaker from most sides & they will crumble, surprisingly hasn't been the case with the dogs. i wouldn't call a side with barba & pritchard ordinary!

the dogs vs eels is never boring! i would LOVE to see them play in the grand final again!

good to see lafai back in 1st grade, will def strengthen their attack. he will combine with frankie nicely.

i would put sandow back to 7 & put maguire to 6! roberts needs to play off the bench(maybe try him at dummy half, he might be dangerous from there), he has been way to inconsistent. macguire has been solid & doesn't deserve to lose a spot in the starting side, i saw him play 6 in super league & was very good.

blair should have stayed at centre! don't know why morgan is back in 1sts?

Sandow STILL on the bench. Wow.

What is the point of playing a halfback on the bench.

Either he starts or don't pick him at all.

I've tried defending Kearney but this is another genius move.
