An almost full strength North Queensland Toyota Cowboys squad will face St George Illawarra in the NRL pre-season trial at nib Stadium in Perth on Saturday night.

Into the squad that played the Brisbane Broncos at Redcliffe on Saturday night are reigning Paul Bowman Medallist Ashley Graham, centre Brent Tate, halfback Michael Morgan, lock Dallas Johnson, second-rowers Glenn Hall and Gavin Cooper, the front-row of co-captain Matthew Scott, Aaron Payne and James Tamou, and interchange forwards Joel Riethmuller and Cory Paterson.

All but Payne, Paterson and Tate, who played in the Harvey Norman NRL All Stars game at Skilled Park on Saturday night, will be having their first hit-out for 2012.

At this stage, coach Neil Henry has decided to rest co-captain Johnathan Thurston and fullback Matthew Bowen, who lined up for the Indigenous All Stars.

Antonio Winterstein will start on the left wing with Tate returning to his centre role, while triallist David Milne continues as starting fullback with Bowen absent.

The Cowboys started a week-long camp in Western Australia on Monday night and will hold their first training session in Perth on Tuesday afternoon.

Saturday night’s match kicks off at 7pm (WA time).
