been looking forward to this game for weeks. Going to be a cracker.

I believe we will win. Don't care about the margin, but I can't see more than a try being in it

Going to have to go with kia ora storm on this one; visitors to win by 7, scoring a converted try at the death after a 76th minute Cronk field goal.

This match has massive significance for the Storm. The last non origin affected game for a long time. If the Storm go into the origin period on the back of going a month without a win, they'll be in trouble.

And IMO even though they got a draw they were pretty poor last night. They were so far off the pace until the refs penalised Manly out of the game. And Melbourne still couldnt do enough to win.

IMO Easts by 4.

We should be too good for Melbourne atm.

They'll be exhausted and we're in much better form.

We have to improve our ball control, though.

Short week for Storm and on the back an extended, tough game. On the other hand, they'll be desperate for a win. We'll be fresher but still give away dumb penalties.
Roosters without much confidence

How can we win? We haven't proven anything. We only keep teams out who have poor attack. We haven't beaten any good teams. Pretenders.

You said last night storm would thrash us

You'll get smashed by a fired up Storm next week and be 4 points from the league leaders.

I'm expecting a repeat of last night here

Roosters will have an iron wall of defence and Storms attack looks lethargic. I expect the Storm to just keep getting pushed back. At the same time I think the Roosters will struggle to maintain possession and good field position because of their makeshift props. They will probably give away silly penalties as they sometimes do and the refs will carry the Storm as they always do.

I expect most of the game to be played in the Roosters half, but I think there is a good chance they will still win it. They have more in attack than Manly do.

think the short turn around will hurt us... expect us to get smashed early come back but not be able to get over the line... again :(

Hard to predict this one. Storm have not clicked as the well drilled unit they are known for in more than a month. If they get into a nice groove early and score a few then we're in trouble. That said I'm reasonably confident we can outlast and outmuscle them in a tight one. Wet weather predicted as well.

Wow...can't believe those of you who doubt the Chooks.

IMO Storm are struggling and wont match it with the Chooks forwards. Cronk is tired and is playing tired and Widdop does nothing to support him so it is really just Smith and Cronk that the Chooks need to control to win this easily.

Take a look at in reality...Norrie and Ryles are slow and old and in the back Fonua looks out of his depth at the moment and will get targetted with high balls.

This is not a defeatist attitude but general observation and I like the look of the Chhoks who have depth across the park.

The Chooks will get up here. The Storms typical season slump has come a bit earlier this year. With Origin around the corner, it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

Rorters by 10.

Given our poor starts after long turnarounds this season i'm much happier it's a shorter one. Tough game for sure and while we showed signs of improvement in the second half we still have a long way to go. On form you'd say the Chooks but i'll still pick our blokes by 4.

If there's any team that can pick apart our defence and build pressure, it's Melbourne. I would never underestimate Smith, Slater, and Cronk myself.
