Reynolds should have been binned but it is quite obvious that Gus has no idea on when a penalty try should be awarded. No way was it certain he was going to score

Because he gave away a penalty? Bromwich's forearm in Eastwoods face was a far dirtier play but you aren't complaining about that.

How on earth was that not a penalty try when Chambers was taken out without the ball after kicking it into the in goal? Least of all, how did the defender not get sent to the bin? Astonishingly bad call.

I was fine with it. Tackler had his arm on chambers before he kicked it, he doesn't have to let him go after that.

As bad as some if the refs calls are, I wish one day one of them would punch Ennis right in his mouth.
He is an absolute f**kwit and if he is allowed to continue to carry on like he does the game will become like soccer when the players carry on like tools to the ref.

A "meh" game? It was some of the best attacking rugby league you'll ever see. Some of those tries were unreal.

The game was spoiled by the fact the 'Dogs had three internationals out and Melbourne had four. But it was still a great attacking game.

Sick of people finding excuses to admonish the performance.

Canterbury had every reason to take the Storm lightly without the Origin players Melbourne had missing - they didn't, they played great attacking footy and defended what they needed to. After the performances against the Roosters and Dragons pre-Origin, this was a breath of fresh air.

It highlights the farcical nature of the current season structure, the lack of depth the Storm have, and the good depth we have both in the backline and our forward pack.

It's basically a four-point game for us with the bye next week and with Parramatta and St George Illawarra the weeks after, anything can happen.

Partially agree...we got slaughtered off the back of Reynolds and it could have been a lot more if Kasiano and Pritchard had played.

As for Storm's depth...they have it but it is at a different stage to the Dogs. McLean, Fonua, Hampton and Griffin are raw and young and need another season to play with confidence against the big sides.

Widdop also has that extra running game to create and has a decent step, that I haven't really seen Finch do.

While we obviously attack a lot more confidently when we have a lead, our defence was really solid today, especially the line speed. There were a number of times we had three or so guys wrap up Bromwich and Harris for the offload. Just went the extra mile.

Had to listen to this on Triple M, so i'm looking forward to seeing some highlights.

The Dogs did exactly what they needed to do and played very well. Lafai was very impressive. Our shitty for and against needed a result like that. Probably could have been 60 if goals were kicked and a couple of tries were just missed.

If only we did the same against the Roosters and weren't complete spastics against the Knights we could be sitting in 4th I think
