I'm confident of a win.

I am a little worried though as statistically since 2004 whenever we've made the finals we lose to Cronulla -

2012 - draw
2011 - win, loss
2010 - loss, loss
2009 - win, win
2008 - loss
2007 - win, win
2006 - win, win
2005 - win, loss
2004 - win, loss

So despite a decent record of 9 wins, 6 losses and a draw, almost all of our losses have come in years we've actually finished in the top 8 (4 losses in 5 games).

Don't know why but it seems that good year for the roosters almost always winds up with dropping a game against the Sharks. Lets hope they can buck the trend.

This game is always a danger game for us..

Since 2009 we've played the Sharks 7 times, & the score is 3 all, with the one drawn game (last year)..

It is a game we could easily lose if we get complacent against a side depleted due to injury, or if Toddy catches fire (& defends well)..

I'd say we'll run $BW at Toddy all night..

SKD generally plays well against them too..

Looking to JWH to continue his good form..

Us by enough..

That's just not a nice thing to say Toneman.

Karma is a shit of a thing. You know sometimes what you wish for ends up happening to your own team.

Hope no one gets hurt that bad.

Karma is a beautiful thing and if it exists then Gibbs will get his on Saturday. It's just a shame the person who should be dishing it out won't be there.

Please refresh my memory what Bryce did?

Danish, you will lose a game against us this year but it won't be this 1.

A few missing for the Sharks but Carney's in good form and will be out prove he's the better number 6. I'm confident we'll come away with a solid win however.

our pack is so depleted having Wade, Gal and f**king Topou out.

Really need the likes of them against the roosters pack, which is formidable.

better strike power out wide too.

id be more interested in the performance from cronulla. i dont see a good result coming but if we play well that would be encouraging.

Super coach better use lewis to start tho. none of this bench nonesense from the storm game.

I think I’ll wait until the wash up from Origin before having a stab at who’ll be taking this one out. As far as the Sharks injury concerns to their forwards go, I thought they were supposed to be awash with these types of players. Surely they can put a more than capable bunch of forwards on the park to cover their albeit significant loss of firepower up front.

The Sharkies are very very good at grinding teams into the ground. Some might even say they bore the $hit out of sides and win that way. That said, if the Chooks are “on” again defensively we should be able to put a few on them regardless of what they throw at us. Should be a cracker of a game, regardless.

I really don't want to lose the return leg at shark park. Bad enough fighting my way through peak hour traffic to get home in time to walk up to the ground and stand there in the freezing cold, let alone to then lose the game.

As for Gibbs, he apparently took Kane Evans out while playing in the lower grades with a cannonball tackle to the knee. Didn't witness it myself so can't confirm, but that is the word over on the chookpen forum.
