It shouldve been a scrum dogs way after Moi Moi lost it 10m out from Dogs line, Tony Williams picks it up and ambles up and tackled 5m from the line, Hayne rules play on but Im sure it shoulve been ''no advantage Dogs scrum feed"

I'm going for the Eels in this game, and I think the shoulder charge rule is f**king ridiculous, but that was a shoulder charge if I've ever seen one.
Arm was tucked in and all force came from his shoulder.

Which arm? His left arm was fully extended Ive rarely seen someone attempt a shoulder charge in that manner?

Any way seems its being sensibly enforced anyway. If we are going to get people whinging about that sort of "technicality" than the refs can never win.

Zero tackle 5m from the knock on, why wouldn't it be play on? It is every other time.

This. I think that's what Ennis was arguing. Morris lost the ball on the what would have been the first tackle and they still hadn't made it back to the 10

I thought that rule got changed a few years ago, and the refs can rule advantage taken regardless or 10m or advancing the position etc.

I havent heard that but you may be right, I thought this was what Ennis was talking to hayne about...as usual we the fans are left in the dark, they change the rules so often now

His left arm was extended but you can clearly see his right arm was tucked.
I'm also glad sanity prevailed but it was technically a shoulder charge in my eyes.

Yeah but I'm sure the dogs would've preferred a scrum 10m out rather than zero tackle 3m out

This will lead to a bunch of players running around with tucked arms and left hand extended like Hitler. Technicalities, gotta love em.

As I understand it, the rule now is that whether or not advantage has been played is entirely at the discretion of the referee.

Is it a technicality though I'd like to see the footage again, and what does the rule state?

I think people are applying Union rules not the actual League ones

All they have is created another grey area in the game.. One week a side well do the same and a penalty will be awarded the next week it wont... im just waiting for a side to lose a game on a 50 50 shoulder charge call.

It seems Ricky has taken a more respectful approach less abuse
More talking
