Double? Don?t downplay it just because it is your team.

We should have got penalised at least 50 times IMO, how we didn?t get penalised for walking on the field is beyond me.

If I were the Raiders coach I would want an inquiry into how those 2 penalties were given against them, disgraceful calls and borderline cheating by the refs. Surely those 2 refs will never ref another game?

The refs come into games with the stupid tip sheet and this is what happens. I believe the raiders own tip sheet superstar fensom got pinged as well. I hate the way they ref as much as anyone but they go into matches believing you guys are an ill disciplined side. Especially when you start to lose. Its going to really cost the Roosters at the business end of the season.

No one is complaining about the penalties we gave away. It is the one?s we didn?t get that is a joke.

They must have left the Canberra tip sheet at home. As someone else said, 6 is normal to concede and that is exactly what Canberra?s average coming into the match was. They just happened to have found their ?discipline? for this game... how remarkable.

I have to admit I was glad - but a little surprised - that Fensom wasn't penalised for his tackle on Minichiello that went slightly past horizontal.

Now I think it was just a good, hard tackle, but we've seen penalties given for less.

Canberra have actually played pretty disaplined football in terms of penalties, we've been good in that department for some time. There was a few occasions in which we could have been pinged in the ruck, but if they were going to blow us for that, the roosters penalty count would have doubled.

Also surprised about the Fensom tackle, it was a good clean hit, and should never be penalised but ive seen less get pinged

And the refs view fensom as a "dirty" player so yes it was a miracle but it was a great tackle.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - beware the game after you play the Roosters. Everything you got away with this week will be noticed and penalised next week. It's one of the universal rules of Rugby League.


Oh - one thing the Roosters fans haven't mentioned when criticising the refs is how Croker got called for knocking on when he was facing his own goal and he pushed the ball towards his own try line.

It wasn't one of those ones that was propelled forwards even though he was facing backwards - he clearly pushed it back. A scrum was awarded to the Roosters and we scored our first try from it. Should never have happened. The Raiders were dead set dudded.

But watch those penalties next week. Brett White will be called for offside straight away and all the ruck infringements will be noticed. You have been warned.

I think we can all agree that the current crop of referees are shit.

The Roosters are one of the other teams that constantly cop a raw deal from referees.

Yes I'm not excusing how terrible the refs are. The Roosters just don't have the cheating skills of say a Melbourne. I couldn't believe Maloney was trying to yank the ball out of one of the raiders hands (maybe croker) when we were down by four points and had heaps of momentum. If Croker had just let go of the ball it would have been a penalty to us because he was attempting to play the ball.
