That try call was an absolute disgrace. How on earth is Steve Clark video refereeing again this week after last week overturning Shaun Johnson's fair 40/20 off one look, when we can't rule on forward passes because of the physics of camera angles, yet he could decide off one replay based on a shot neither directly over the top of the play or directly to the side of the play. Steve Clark is a joke, and Daniel Anderson is an absolute cat for continuing to employ him.

There is an absolute no doubt whatsoever that referees are extremely biased in their rulings towards certain teams. Its 'safe' to rule in favour of the favourite. It becomes a media beat up when a contentious call goes against the order of what is supposed to happen.

That decision was an absolute disgrace. Nothing more, nothing less. The on field referee called no try. The video referee has to find conclusive evidence from that that Shaun Fensom was not in a position to get involved with the defence, if not impeded. Its fairly clear cut in the fact the bloke is arriving on the scene as Slater 'scores' that if he wasn't taken out by Ryles he would have been in a position to make a play. Absolutely terrible decision, the referees again in 2013 are an absolute farce.

There is no middle ground with Ferguson..

He's either sensational or full genius..

He was both in that 40 minutes..

As well as Canberra are playing the big 3 of Melbourne have been going through the motions, and Widdop too. It'll be interesting to see how they react after half time.

Good half from the Raiders but I expect the storm to close out the game in the last 20 mins and score a few.

How was that try allowed? He ran right at the defender, giving him no chance of making a play, not a case of if or "he wouldn't have", the guy made full on contact with him, forget the 2nd defender and receiving the ball on the outside shoulder, that was the core of what the ruling is suppose to eliminate, yet it was allowed.

That's incorrect he was like that during his first year with the raiders but since then he has been good almost every week.

Did anyone see Ryles face after that obstruction? Have you ever seen a more guilty face, you could just see him sh*tting his pants about what Bellamy would say .

No way if that was the storm they'd have over turned it

He was out.

Interesting refereeing in this game. The referees spurted their sauce all over Storm and then thought they'd do the same for Raiders. Wonder if the penalty onslaught see-saw will continue in the second half.

The obstruction call - lol.

Raiders shouldn't have had the ball back for the second try (pretty clear knock back by the Storm imo) but I suppose that is justice.

The Raiders have had a nasty habit of falling to pieces after a dodgy decision like Melbournes second try. So it was great to seem them bounce back.

the storm are going to come out in the second half and play up tempo. if they start offloading and getting their second phase play going..... the raiders are gone. their defense is virtually non existent. theyre decent in attack...

although melbournes fringe defense is rubbish.

It shouldn't have been a 40/20 in the first place so it's a bit rich to be complaining about that call still.

Come on Raiders,beat these scumbags
come on already...theyre not scumbags. just a really good team. this coming from a dragons fan! but we have to atleast concede theyre precise in how they play and the league is better for it. we dont want a league full of panthers and eels.

Kicked from inside the 40, touch judge had it half a metre inside your 20. Only became an issue when Slater went off at the touchie. Derp.
