The things I would do to have Segeyaro back, or even for Anthony Mitchell to get the run he deserves. Why we persist with pretenders is beyond me.

Anyone who was watching properly can see that any time Thurston got early ball there was plenty of space. In particular the left edge was looking good at points. Every time we went to the right it went through Moore/Kostjasyn and Thompson, slowing it right down.

Bingo mate...nice post.

That game was f**ked. I'm not usually one to whinge about referees but give me a break.

Souffs probably deserved winners though.

Really happy with our defensive effort*. Cowboys never looked likely, even with a fair bit of time in our half

Souths are headed for a fall though, I said it last week and I'll say it again. If they start believing their own hype they will get punished.

Another thing... Mango is getting a free ride at the moment. He barely returns kicks compared to the wingers and has a reduced role in set plays/playmaking. The worst bit is that he's never sniffing around the ruck for an offload. Tamou, Sims and Cooper are great exponents of having an arm free to offload, but there's never anyone backing up. Most of the time it ends up with the hooker to be wrapped up 2m upfield.

I heard your guys are looking at one of our players called Apisai Koroisau, he is like a younger Issac Luke with some crafty passing. Real good player but I don't think he will get a look in here with Luke and Peats in front.

Nah, we are winning the games where we need to show up.

I think we might get sprung by a lower placed team eventually though. I'm kind of hoping we do, you need losses occasionally to refocus the team. Especially before finals.

The vaunted Souths forward pack is basically Sam & George, put them 2 in any other pack in the comp and they'd be one of the best packs in the comp.

The other forwards are just decent.

Teo and McQueen are very good. Lima and Luke Burgess are meters eaters that we are currently missing

All of our forwards put in defensively that's what matters most

Agreed.

The rest are just "Storm" forwards. Ultimate pros who do their job, never missing a beat and always solid in defense.

Teo is classy, though.

But Sam and George have just been destroying the competition so far. The way they molest the advantage line; barrelling defenders and getting quick play the balls.

Their dominance defines every match the Rabbits play in.

Jeez I hope some people were just trolling in here, that or they had downed a few too many during the game. Some of the calls people were bitching about were fine.

Burgess just dropped the ball cold, picked it up and looked at the referee expecting the whistle to blow.....it didn't so he played the ball and souffs go in.

Probably the worst, or at least most blatant, incorrect decision of the game

Looks up for a penalty, realises the ref didn't even see it to begin with so he just shrugs and plays the ball. How did they miss that?

Well okay it probably wasn't as bad as that passage of play where two immediate knock-on calls were both obviously (to everyone besides the refs) wrong.

Issac Luke goes alright as well.

But yes there's no superstar other than those 3 but no team can have 17 stars.

We have our game breakers in our pack and they're supported by footsoldiers who have a crucial job. Yes they might not get headlines or make big linebreaks but there's a lot of similar forwards around the comp who aren't their job as effectively. The group work well together and everyone knows their role and does it well.

Look at some of the soft packs around the comp, some of our lesser names would be a big improvement on what they have.

Up front Sam, George and Issac Luke are our game winners while being supported by good honest workers. Meanwhile in the backs its Inglis, Sutton and Reynolds supported by their own set of good honest workers.

It's a good balanced 17.

did Ben Teo play tonight ? he's been a dud buy for Souths

good luck to the Bunnies, playing well, but receiving so many 50/50 calls - please don't complain if / when they go against you in September

12 runs for 130m with 29 tackles and 3 tackle breaks. Solid hard worker that our pack needs. You sir are a clown
