So does anyone aside from the blind Souffs haters still think Uate is better than Merritt? He looked like a deer in the headlights today.

He's a better ball runner and about the same defensively. Merritt is the king of being in the right place at the right time for an easy try. Uate usually works for his. Neither is Origin material though. Both have some pretty big weaknesses which are easily exposed at that level. Uate has already been exposed, and Merritt would be another Steve Turner / David Williams style choice.

Best possible backline would be:
1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Brett Morris / Blake Ferguson
3. Michael Jennings
4. Josh Morris
5. Michael Gordon

The wingers should be Brett Morris and Michael Gordon. With Blake Ferguson coming in if Brett Morris is not fit by then, which seems to be likely at this state. Although even if he is fit I hope we get to see Fergo get a run this series. He is a freakish player who IMO would thrive at this level. Can make some silly mistakes, but he also has some crazy plays up his sleeve which is something that NSW backs have lacked.

What a crumble that was. First 20 mins was great considering the players we have missing. Too bad we couldn't stick to our structure, hold the ball and keep up the intensity.
