Odds on favourite for the biggest margin of the tournament - a mark which is likely to be eclipsed by Australia in their very next game against the US.

The USA are much better than Ireland. The last 20 of their matches they fall away but I can't see them getting belted more than Ireland will

Are they really? Wales and Cook Islands were dire and still looked like they could have clicked into a second gear and won.

Within context, yes. Australia can't lose a place and Ireland can't gain a place. We all know this is going to be ugly. What's the point?

Decent administrators and sports people turn around massive losses no matter how large!

They use it to fuel progress and if that is the course and determination for Irish officials and players then it will, in the long run, be a good thing!

Remember RL is a victim of repression within Ireland as well!

I know Australia will be wearing their home jersey, but if they had to wear an alternate strip what would it look like?

If Australia needed to win by 80 to get through, they'd do it within 60 minutes. They'll no doubt go easy (ish) though so a final margin between 50 and 60 sounds about right.

Hayne is Australia's best winger by a mile. He's a freak.

Which means he'll miss out to Boyd when it matters.
