Same here... trying to register what my bloody teachers said today for my painting assesment. They have just confused me even more.

mate can i tell you, i absolutely loved art until i started studying it, and then teachers killed it for me! I wish i could paint like you though, you're pretty bloody good!

I don't do art anymore, i do Graphic Design as an elective, but i love it it's so much fun. We did visual arts for 2 years and i hated i because i got the worst teachers!!!

It's just really annoying when your happy with your work and they find a way to bring it down. I'm going to talk to my last yrs painting teachers and see what they say about it.
I liked them better :lol:

I know that at times there trying to help me with things.... but when I think I have it right, they still tell me it's wrong

oh! i so know what you mean! I thought art was suppose to be self expressive, and they carry on about textures and compositions! Oh i get so worked up about it, 'cause my art teacher made me almost fail art in my HSC when i was in high school so it's a touchy subject for me. But yes, definately get a second opinion....
