Was wondering that too. It didn't happen inside the 10m and obviously wasnt an offside penalty. Refs are just too scared to allow them to happen unless they are 70m out from the try line.

But if they face Melbourne or Manly then it'll be entertaining viewing. They play like McGuire watches... very manic.

I can recall times they haven't allowed it even at long range. It happened quite a few times in the weeks following Thurston scoring a long range quick-tap try. Just seems they don't like giving any sort of control of the game away.
