Who would of thought Wigan would be the team to produce the worst bit of thuggery ever in a grand final?

I'm shocked...


On the final Saints were rubbish but got it done. The sending of turned it into a good game, without it would have been as one sided as the NRL final...

Sts V Souths looks like a mismatch, only reason I wanted Wigan to win was Wigan V Souths looks mouth-wateringly good

Through the actions of one of their own players, Wigan played 78 and a half minutes with just 12 players and only lost by 8 points. They also had a couple of gilt edged opportunities to score tries but bombed them rather than failing to score due to Sts defence.

While we're at it, Sts have a terrible record for going missing in such games as the WCC and matches Vs touring teams while Wigans record in these type of matches is very very good!

I'm not taking anything away from Sts tonight or indeed over the season, one of my mates plays in the Sts front row, but I'd rather watch Souths v Wigan as I beleive it would be more competitive. Sts do have the capacity to match anyone on their day but they're in transition with Brown leaving and a number of players who won't be there next year which won't help them when facing the NRL Premiers

Taking the send off out of the equation, the best team lost. Having said that Flower should have the book thrown at him. Hohaia was already out when he was assaulted again. One of, if not the, most disgraceful acts I've ever seen on a rugby pitch.

Only seen the opening exchanges, since Eurosport Australia seems to be run by a group of morons, but I wouldn't be happy if Flower missed less than 9-10 games of the 2015 season. Graham missed more for the biting incident - Flower's actions were worse IMO.

Fair play to Saints. Not many sides could finish top and win the GF with so many big names missing.

Wigan - unlucky. Takes a champion side to retain the title ;-)

Shows how much Flower gives a f**k about his teammates. Getting sent in the first 3 mins because you cant control yourself, merkin should be banned from league for life, f**king dog act.

How about that weird half-time show they had up with all these ironic songs?

The pricks got the Venga Boys stuck in my head. Took me all the way back to primary school years.

The send off decided that game. Sure, it meant that St Helens played on with no recognised playmakers since they were already doing it rough but all they'd have to do is grind and eventually the weight of carrying 12 men would catch up to Wigan.

Still a gallant effort from them and they gave themselves every chance but when it came time to convert those opportunities, they couldn't get anything to happen.

While on one hand it's better than no coverage at all, which we were faced with a few years back, Eurosport's coverage is a disgrace. I sent some constructive feedback on twitter about the listings f*ck up ( they had it an hour early on IQ) and they said it was because they hadn't catered for daylight savings. Amateurs. They cut off the lifting of the challenge cup a few weeks back too - to rush on some frekin arm wrestling. ARM WRESTLING ffs.

The sport deserves better. Feel free to vent your displeasure @eurosportaus

I still think a full strength St. Helens stands more of a chance against Souths than Wigan because Paul Green is leaving and Hohaia, Lomax, Walsh, Wilkin will be back for Saints. And Roby should be fully fit by then. Getting Travis Burns would be another good addition. But Souths of course will still be heavy favourites but it was a great effort for saints to win without 4 of their top 5 players.

Yes i wasa little confused with the scheduled timing for here in Brisbane so took the option of recording the tennis as well. Lucky i did !!! Yes seeing the post game interviews etc would have been great.

Have never been able to find a way to contact Eurosport via email / contact page.

Re the the actual game i didn't mind it and thought Wigan played well with their new structure post send off. Matty Bowen had a hot and cold game but was still always a threat close to the line.

I do look forward ti the day when we are talking about the SL GF ....and their is no Leeds, Wigan or St Helens to be mentioned. :D
