Johnson is definitely not perfect, but I'd have him at the Panthers over most other options out there. Certainly above bloody Wallace!

The loss is on Shaun Johnson no matter how you dice it up (he takes 70% of the blame here). You take the good with the bad as NRL half especially in this format of the game. This doesn't make Shaun Johnson labelled a s##t player though yet again he fails in getting his team across the line.

Johnson ain't clutch. He ain't a Queensland type player. Johnson is a talent who needs to find the clutch gene when his team needs it him to deliver at club and international level.

He's no Ben Hunt, but he's goes alright

I note the sarcasm though I ain't going to compare a fringe first grader looking to cement his spot in first grade to a current Test player who should be judged with the likes of Thurston, Cronk and Cherry-Evans. You can. I won't. Johnson is as talented a young player as there is the game though fact remains he shrinks under pressure.

Wow, DCE must suck then, Manly didn't even make it out of the pool rounds. Pretty embarrassing for a test player.

Fact is the Cowboys smothered SJ and the rest of the team didn't stand up and help. Booting it out on the full when a simple catch and pass would've scored a try. One off hitups all game.

And SJ pulled out a game winning try with 20 seconds to go in the world cup semi-final to get NZ to the finals, not to mention the game sealing try against Melbourne to get the Warriors into the GF in 2011.

And the entire NZ team was shut down and outplayed by Aus in the WC final, including SBW, Foran, etc; Not just Johnson

I don't care if Johnson can't win the game for his team but what I don't like is the lack of effort when the team needs someone to stand up.
Maybe Elliot didn't give him enough help experience-wise on the field today.
Sky's the limit for this bloke though.

Ignore the Mickey Mouse tournament Johnson's side was favourites to take out this past weekend, what titles or championships has Johnson led his team to again? Falling one game short time and time again makes him a star not a superstar of the ilk of the QLD trio I mentioned earlier.

Again, Johnson is as talented a young player as there is in the game though his trophy cabinet remains empty. Johnson fell short again in a game today that he was expected to lead his side to victory in. In a tournament he dominated for the most part on home soil, Johnson blew a huge chance to get the monkey off his back albeit in a minor tournament. He blew it.

The likes of DCE, Cronk and Thurston are superstars who convert in the big games more often than not. This is a trait Johnson is yet to demonstrate. The rugby league world is his to take; is he up to it? Time will tell. Benji for a brief period stepped up and I believe Johnson is as talented as Benji was.

So in summary Shane Perry > Johnson

You can compare an average first grader to that of a Test star if you want too. I'd expect as much from a Titans fan where the word mediocre is a pass mark for players and their team.

I am comparing Johnson to the likes of Thurston, Cronk and Cherry-Evans given he is a Test player on the verge of being a superstar. Don't come at me with stupid comparisons to inferior halfbacks that have won competitions riding the coat tails of their team. The best halves lead their teams to premierships or series' wins. Johnson hasn't done so as yet despite having some great opportunities at a young age.

Will he? Not too sure though he will need to convert at some stage to enter the debate.
