Wighton wont play a worse game than that all year, bank on that.
Kid is a gun. He'll bounce back pretty quickly i think.

Pleased with that game for the Raiders. Campese looks rejuvenated and our forwards were great for most of the game. Vaughn and Boyd are beasts. Milford gets better and better.

Wighton looked uncomfortable in the halves but at least tried to link up with his outside men.

Disappointing to not get the win after getting the early lead, but at the end of the day Thurston was the difference between the teams. Being asleep during his quick tap really cost us.

Still plenty of positives. Boyd looked good and I think we were unscathed as far as injuries go.

It wasn't quite the beating that most people here predicted.

Shouldn't have had the chance to put it down...shouldn't have been a penalty in the first place

LOL....yet you ignore the ref giving you 50m and possesion when it shouldve been a drop out after knocking on in goal

waaaahh...waaaah...is that you in your av

Agree on Thurston, definitely the difference in the sides
Aside from his play making, his kicking game really pinned us down and gave them a big advantage in field position

Very disappointing to lose but enough positives to stop me smashing my Iphone

Cowboys just too classy in the end. A much improved defensive performance in the first half, particularly given what we saw toward the end of last season.

Fitness is a concern, especially since we phoned in our 9's appearance to be ready to start the season.

I expected a loss so not too disappointed with the end result. It's a long season and we should kick start it with a very easy win next week.

[sooking intensifies]

It was a legit point, there was nothing in that hit on Thurston, you got a penalty and scored off the back of it, plain and simple...anytime anyone goes remotely close to hitting that softcock hard he gets a penalty...

Will this be the high watermark for the Raiders season?

I remember Parra sides under Sticky starting with purpose, buoyed by his levels of intensity only to be worn down and broken 5 weeks later

Taumalolo was absolutely amazing tonight. If he can regularly put in big minutes we're a long way towards doing well each game. So good seeing a coach with some faith in him after how he's been treated the last few seasons.

I've only seen him talked up for how he's played at center

Not sure why he is playing five eight, seems average there

Five-eighth is his preferred position/what he was known for in the junior grades.

One average game shouldn't have him down too much, particularly if he has some job security for a while.
