Just witnessing the Ennis dive on the Fox replay.... 9.5s across the board but he loses points on degree of difficulty as its piss easy to milk a penalty with Klein in charge

With the Mbye try - I thought it was a no try as the only pictures I can see of him grounding it are with his forearm. No way of having control of the football with only your forearm as support.

You don't need control to score a try you only need downward pressure.

The whole game turned to crap for us when the Roosters scored off the Sonny Bill forward pass, immediately after that everything turned to crap.

Although I have to say, we probably still would have lost even without the bullshit calls, we lacked any direction in attack without our halves and Sonny Bill was on fire.

Not if you have the ball in hand. Once you lose it (ie the separation everyone talks about), the only way you can score is if you regain control of the ball before scoring.

Whether or not he actually lost it or not is another story altogether.

I have no idea it was clearly grounded by Jackson. The ball rolled forward under his fist before Mini touched it.

I think you need to change your prescription if you reckon Jackson grounded it, clear as day he didn't. At best he knocked the ball back.

There was clear separation prior to his forearm applying downward pressure and in that situation he needed to regain control of the ball before it touched the ground.

This new rule alleviates the situation where a player can drop the ball over the line, yet ground the ball simultaneously to it hitting the ground resulting in a try.

He needed to regain control which he didn't = no try.

Chook.

We really missed T-Rex marking up on SBW and we had no direction from the halves. People have said that the Bulldogs halves haven't been that good and it has been the forwards that have won us matches. Friday night proved that theory wrong

I bet you didn't expect to be saying that after 2013 and the first half dozen games of 2014.

I'd hate to have T-Rex and Dave Taylor in my side. Would so frustrating knowing how dangerous thy can be, and only seeing it once every now and then.
